"-- Mr. Batista!! Stop the coach!!"
Linda's shout traveled through the wind from the back to meet the coachman in front. Almost immediately, the horses upfront trotted to a stop, neighing a whinny sound as Mr. Batista pulled very hard on their reins. The coach also stopped, alongside voluntarily.
But why was he asked to stop the coach?! The man mused internally. However, no answer was provided him as no attempt was made on his part to find out the reason for this.
Slowly, the side door of the carriage flung open to allow a lively spirit to jolt out of it. The person Beth was running towards had no idea she was coming from behind to pounce on them…
