Chapter 229 - Update

Fear, not my brethren. In two days I am about to buy 15 more mini books which I can turn into 15 more Tightrope Tension books. After I write those then I will apply for a contract, but I also have another venture hopefully about to take place. No, it is not another Patreon or something. I am aiming to take my book 'The 26 and the power of friendship' with me to Wordsforcharity.org. There I hope to keep that book on there for 10 years and write 22 more each year for a total of 220 books. I will only be making $10,260 a year off of them because for every sale 95% goes to charity. You won't be doing this for me, you will be donating to charity, and as a thank-you will have access to download my next 26 book. Books are $6 which means$5.43 cents of each sale will go to charity.

Here are my chosen charities I am going to help:

1. Organization for Autism Research

2. Publish for Charity

3. Fresh start surgical gifts

This means that only $1.81 will go to each charity after each sale. That is why I need a lot of you. My plan is to publish 2 books a month, so for you, that is $12 a month with $11.54 going to charity, breaken down is $3.81 each. That is why I need all of you. Wordsforcharity receives none of the income. The extra $0.40 is for tax fees and processing fees to send the money. I won't receive any of it either and just the advance on the front, so you can rest assured that every cent you give will go to one of these 3 charities and not the pockets of any of us.

Before I share with you the next book ideas, I just want you to know that it took me a long time to find this place. A platform that benefits me slightly but benefits charity and nothing lines no one's pockets. Wordsforcharity keeps running year after year with the help of ready set sales, LLC. That is why they are able to give every $1 to charity because their staff, board, and directors are paid by this company.

As I said, I am still trying to keep everything as free as possible but even creators need to eat. That is why, for now, I am only going to be moving these two books up and none other. Before I apply here, I plan to at least write 6 more books which will be 108 chapters at your ready. With Patreon, your donations are given back as gifts and such, but here, the only person that wins is charity, and you get to see what happens to Darius, Ruby, Apple, Elwin, and Princess Rainbow in the books to come.

1. The 26 and the Power of Friendship. (Message: How to be a good friend)

2. The 26 and the legend of Apple. (Message: Everyone can fit in)

Layout: Apple sends the tri to his homeworld of Chopped because it is Darius' birthday and he so wants to see how his favorite friend came to be. Apple is a little worried about going back since he can't seem to fit in anywhere. Both sides of Vegetables and Fruits won't talk to him. He will have to decide between the two who he truly belongs with. Although he picks fruit, in the end, he learns that it's best when we all can play together.

3. The 26 and the Origin of Ruby. (Message: Treat everyone fairly)

Layout: Ruby's family manages to come into the real world so they can spend a week with Ruby and meet her friends. Around the diner table, Ruby's family tries to be nice but something is off with their attitude. The next day Ruby can't find them and takes to the streets only to see them up to their old antics of playing mean tricks on people and jumping into their bodies to make them walk. They are startled when Ruby won't fit in and tell her that if all ghosts took over a Host, then there would be no unfair advantage. Ruby tells them that Darius' family loves her just the way she is and wishes others could act the same way. Her family misinterprets this and continues to say if we all took over a Host then everyone could walk and disabled people would be nonexistent. We could make everyone act just like your new family and would all be one. To this Ruby says that is not what she meant and that we may not all have been born top of our class but that's okay. I am loved just the way I am so why can't others do the same?

4. The 26 and the magic of the four paws. (Message: A wise man is better than a knowledgeable one)

Layout: Everything that we learn and do from cars to planes, to medicine and sound has always been inspired by animals and not ourselves. We may talk, walk, and have higher 'intellect' knowledge but are always amazed and taking notes from animal behavior. All of the 'Knowledge' throughout the years we gain always come up short because we look to animals for advice.

5. The 26 and the truth about the Hare. (Message: Be bold enough to try)

Layout: Although the tortoise may have beat the Hare that doesn't mean that slow and steady wins the race. What if we try 'Fast and classy here comes sassy'. We all know that the reason one is slow in a race is that they're out of shape. In order to run a race you need to get in shape which in turn will help you run as fast as the Hare. Just don't overwork it or else a power nap can turn into a loss. Don't be afraid to stand out from the crowd. You may not cross the goal you wanted but at least now you have paved the way. 'Sometimes, in order for one to find the door, one must first run face-first into a wall'

6. The 26 and the tale of leftovers. (Message: No amount of giving is too small)

Layout: Darius' family experiences a lack of food in the fridge and will have to use leftovers to make a meal. Darius complains that leftovers will never replace the original and that there is not enough left, but his dad takes it a step further to tell him to give to others. Darius at first decided against it but eventually gives in and does, only to be rewarded a meal a week later by one of the families that he had helped.

7. The 26 and the Beginning of Time. (Message: Why wait tomorrow for what you can do today)

Layout: It's Saturday; time for chores. Problem is, everyone procrastinates and is busy planning how fun tomorrow will be, so that when tomorrow does come they now have double the work and no time for play like they wanted. If only they listened!!!!!!

8. The 26 and the spin of thread. (Message: Practice makes habit)

Layout: Darius' mom teaches Ruby how to knit, and she loves it. The problem is; she keeps messing up, but will not quit until she has made a shirt. Go, Ruby!!!

9. The 26 and the crime of taste. (Message: Just cause it's free doesn't mean it's for me! Ask first.)

Layout: The school bake sale is in two days but Darius can't wait that long. It won't hurt if I just have one.

10. The 26 and the need for Greed. (Message: Shortcuts make short butts)

Layout: Summer fun, summer sun; so why is the Trio gloomy? Darius wants what his friends have because it will make him happy. Ruby wants to live a life of a human and Apple, well Apple secretly wants his name changed to Orange. He says Apples carry a bad reputation throughout history, and he'll do anything to change his name. They'll learn though the difference between want vs. need and that shortcuts never work in the end.

11. The 26 and the Wish of Rainbow. (Message: Kids rule)

Layout: Still feeling a little blue, Apple recommends everyone go to Dropfarra so they can raise their spirits. There they meet Princess Rainbow and learn that it's okay to take a pause on being an adult.

12. The 26 and the dance of the flying fish. (Message: You don't need wings to fly)

Layout: Before the trio goes home, Rainbow wants to show them one last stop. The lake of flying fish with wings and ones without.

13. The 26 and the Alarm clock. (Message: Nightmares show you what you're not so you can wake up who you are.)

Layout: Ruby finally decides to live with Darius in his house, so the family picks her a spare room. The problem is the walls 'ding' at 2:10 A.M every morning and no one can find out why. The sound always triggers a nightmare for Ruby and she always wakes up terrified. If only she could find the clock...or maybe she doesn't need to find it!!!!

14. The 26 and the wavelength that broke. (Message: The sun makes you grow so go outside)

Layout: The trio decided to stay indoors and watch TV because they're too exhausted to go outside; but what happens when their TV breaks?

15. The 26 and the sword of Valor. (Message: The darker the room, the brighter the light)

Layout: As the Trio goes to play they encounter what looks to be a lost dog with no collar. Upon following it into the woods, the question turns. Is the dog lost or are they?

16. The 26 and the bond of trust. (Message: Trust is stronger than any two-edged sword)

Layout: With the sun still creeping behind the clouds, the trio has to find home....on their own!!!!!!!!!! Nothing to fear for a knight is near. Before the Knight can be of service, the three have to draw near by leaning on each other for trust and guidance.

17. The 26 and the Knightly Quest. (Message: It's okay to ask for help. Doesn't mean vulnerability)

Layout: Sir Knight leads the trio back to his castle and along the way he introduces the pack to quests and deeds he has performed as well as places he's gone...but wait; is he lost too?

18. The 26 and the Victorious return. (Message: Life is more fun with friends)

Layout: Darius is surprised when behind the tall thicket, Sir knight leads them to the very castle where he first met Princess Elwin. He is delighted to see her again and before Sir Knight can introduce him, he's already saying hi and pulling items out of his backpack to show Elwin. As they spend the day together getting paintings drawn of them, retelling stories, and just hanging out, the Trio decides to spend the night.

19. The 26 and the talisman of Purity. (Message: A true friend then is a friend till the end.)

Layout: Sadly missing Ruby's b-day the night before, the trio wakes up and starts to embark but Elwin has one last thing to give the trio in return for all the gifts they gave her. She is still uncertain of what dangers they may face ahead, so she offers them a talisman necklace of healing and protection. Stay true to your friends and the necklace will stay true to you. Break your friendship and the talisman may break you.

20. The 26 and the family reunion. (Message: Keep your friends close and your family closer)

Layout: Darius family is relieved to find them all in good health and Apples friends+Rubys family is there to greet them. They spend the rest of the day partying and celebrating as far as the sun will let them.

21. The 26 and the spirit of Uncle Henry. (Message: Fresh starts are better than burnt endings)

Layout: Uncle Henry decided to drop by for a visit and wants to mend the bond between him and his niece by bringing pie. Sadly, it is burnt and with Rubys family still there it seems that Rubys relationship isn't the only thing needing mending.

22. The 26 and the carol of hope. (Message: Treat others the way you want to be treated)

Layout: With the year wrapping up, the Trio waves goodbye to their family and friends; ready to call it a day when a stranger arrives on their doorstep wanting to come in.
