After walking in a random direction for a while, Noah didn't know how long he was walking, he stopped and clenched his hands. He was still struggling with his thoughts. 'SHUT UP I NEED TO DO THIS!" He thought, frustrated and he punched his thigh. He looked at Spearhead and grit his teeth, thinking, 'I can't be scared, I need to be brave.' He turned around and started towards it by taking a shaky step forward.

Noah kept walking for a bit, keeping his eyes on Spearhead and the sky, watching for Nightmare. He didn't want to end up like the bandits, just thinking about what happened at the clearing made him shiver. He had to slap himself to prevent him from imagining the flames consuming him. He stopped and took a deep breath to try to clear his head. After shaking it a bit, he set his eyes back on Spearhead and continued his march towards it. He wasn't very cautious about where he was walking so he made quite the ruckus, much to the detriment of his mental state. Every time he heard a branch snap, a rock get kicked, or leaves rustle, he would panic, thinking that Nightmare may have heard him. Even so, he didn't take his eyes off of Spearhead or pay attention to where he was walking, as he wanted to see Nightmare before he got to him. Just thinking about the possibility of Nightmare finding him made Noah start to run towards Spearhead. He didn't want to give Nightmare any chance to kill him before he got the legendary spear, 'If it even exists' The thought crept into Noah's head. He stopped and began to shake his head thinking, 'It has to be real, it has to exist otherwise I have no chance of even getting anywhere close to him, much less kill him.' He continued to walk, repeatedly thinking that the spear had to exist.

After walking for a small bit, Noah finally reached the foot of Spearhead. When he finally reached it he noticed that the trees stopped 50 meters before the mountain started. On the ground there were multiple holes that appeared to be from something being ripped out of the ground. He stayed a bit behind the treeline to make sure that he didn't get noticed by Nightmare. He wondered what made the holes, looking at them and with the knowledge that the holes looked like they were ripped out, he guessed that Nightmare ripped them out. 'Why would he rip out the trees' Noah thought, and after spending some time thinking, 'Maybe he did it so he could see who was approaching Spearhead. Yeah, that makes sense.' He looked back up at Spearhead and began to wonder how he was going to get up to Nightmare's lair. However, the sound of a branch snapping interrupted his thoughts, and while panicking, immediately dove head first into a nearby bush. He began to shake violently and uncontrollably as he peered out of the bush. He was worriedly thinking that Nightmare would find him, and that Nightmare may have somehow caused the branch to snap. He looked over to where he heard the branch snap and saw a rabbit running away around 10 meters away. He let out a frustrated sigh, cursing himself for being so scared that he thought a rabbit could've been Nightmare. He got out of the bush, brushed off the leaves that were on him, looked back at Spearhead, and resumed planning on how he was going to make it up to Nightmare's lair. He looked at the area in front of Spearhead, and seeing that the trees were ripped out, shuddered, beginning to think about what would happen if Nightmare found him before he could get the legendary spear. He looked up at Spearhead and saw how little cover there was, he quickly estimated that it would take him around 4 hours to climb up to where Nightmare has his lair. When he came to this conclusion he realized that he didn't know where Nightmare had his lair and that would take even more time to find. Thinking about the lack of places to hide and the amount of time it would take to get to Nightmare's lair he began to get visions of himself getting found by Nightmare in different situations but they all ended up with him dying horribly. He shut his eyes and clutched his head, but that only intensified the visions. One even showed Nightmare somehow finding out that he came from Northspear, and instead of killing him outright, Nightmare broke both his legs, carried him to Northspear, and said, "Since you tired to pathetically kill me, I'll burn your entire pathetic town and you can watch your house, friends, and family burn with it before I deal with you." After about a minute of flight the pair reached Northspear, and Nightmare set Noah down in the training field before flying over Northspear and saying, "Hello pathetic people, since one of your own decided that it would be a good idea to try to kill me, I decided that I would rip out the problem from its roots before anymore trouble happens." He paused for a moment after saying this. Noah didn't know why but he assumed that someone shouted back at Nightmare, but Nightmare responded back saying, "If you want to complain to anyone the perpetrator is right over there." He pointed to where Noah was as he finished the sentence. However, without giving anyone any time to look he said, "But, it doesn't matter anyways since you all are going to meet the same fate anyways." When he finished he began to suck in air, and Noah wished that this vision would end, but for whatever reason it would not, What he saw was something made in nightmares. The town went up in flames after a minute. Clouds of black smoke started heading towards the sky like they were reaching for heaven which painted the sky black. However, those were not as bad as the screams. They started right as Nightmare unleashed his flame and five minutes later they were still going strong. Noah had already covered his ears and tried to look away, but his eyes maintained their focus on Northspear. His mind was envisioning all the people in the town being burned to ash. He saw the people he would see when on patrol, the guards he worked with, even the mayor and rest of the government. And then he saw his parents, he saw their house burning around them with his father trying to protect his mother, but the house came collapsing down on them.
Noah was suddenly pulled out of his thoughts by a sharp pain. He opened his eyes and realized that he was squatting down, his head down, and had his hands over his ears. He felt a warm liquid run down the back of his right ear. He quickly removed his hands from his ears, and saw that there was blood on the fingertips of his right hand. Seeing this, he quickly came to the conclusion that he dug his nails into his ear so hard that it caused him to bleed and pulled him out of his thoughts.
He grabbed his bag and pulled a first-aid kit out to clean the wound. He then ripped off a piece of a rag he bought and wrapped it around his ear. While doing this he looked at Spearhead but got flashes of Northspear in flames causing him to quickly look away. He turned around, took a few deep breaths, and thought to himself, 'I have to do this. I have to.' He was calming himself down but then remembered all the times he got injured on his way here and how close he got to death with the bear. He clenched his fists and thought, 'If I'm getting injured by wild animals how am I even supposed to scratch a dragon.' He paused for a moment and then came to a grim conclusion, 'I- I can't do it. I don't want to die. I don't want to lose my home, my friends, and my family. I can't do it.'
