Fighting an invisible monster, I didn't realize that it was quite hard compared to the game. That was in the game, you could know their attack pattern easily but realizing that this was an updated version of the monster. I was afraid that my knowledge of its move-sets was completely useless.
Let's hope that only their skills were the only thing being updated on, not their attack pattern. If not I will be completely screwed...
The Fogriun was still invisible, but it would surely appear right in front of me if it was still using the same attack pattern. Most new players usually thought that the Fogriun would try to attack from behind, that was their mistake.
With that, I give a few slashes in front of me hoping that the Fogriun was there.
*Zsssssssssss!*
The monster then reappeared back as I noticed there was a cut on its body. That meant my attack did hit the Fogriun after all, just like I could confirm that the monster was still using the same move-sets as before. So my knowledge of it was not useless at all.
The Fogriun then tried to attack me using its sharp claws but I simply dodge it away. It was a lethal strike if it hit but sadly because I already know how it is going to attack, evading it was fairly simple.
"Is that all you got monster?" I say that as I could assure my victory in this battle.
It was getting taunted by me and with the Fogriun tried to do its invisible trick again, tried to use it against me this time. Clearly, I would say that it was not working this time around, as the cut that I made earlier to the monster made it easier for me to see where it was... because its blood dripped onto the ground as it walked in a circle.
Well if I was the monster, surely I would attempt to run away but this type of monster didn't have any intelligence to think that.
"I suppose it's time for you to die then..."
As I know where the monster was, without wasting any more time... I lunged at the Fogriun and just like that, the monster was dead as its invisibility slowly disappeared.
-BASIC THRUST ACQUIRE-
The Fogriun face was really ugly and kinda scary when I take a closer look at it. I am playing as the character so I would say I was on a first-person perspective right now.
-STATS SCALING-
-SELECT NONE-
-CHARACTER STATS UPDATED-
"Nice, there's no other monster around me."
-EXP 555-
-LEVEL UP↑-
-CONGRATULATIONS ON LEVEL 6-
-SYSTEM FEATURE UNLOCK: ENEMY STATUS CHECKER-
-SYSTEM FEATURE UNLOCK: PARTY +1-
It seems like I have leveled up, that was quite a lot of EXP from that Fogriun alone. Reaching level 60 wouldn't be a problem as I think I could reach it before I return to Gria Town.
Also noticed that I had unlocked some features as well. Let's test it... I then look at the dead Fogriun that I just had slain.
Suddenly there's a pop up beside it, displaying the stats of the monster and the current status of the monster.
>FOGRIUN-
\monster that uses invisibility skill and was very dangerous. Beware of its sharp claws as it will cause bleeding and stay away from the newly dead Fogriun as it tends to explode.
My other system feature, Description, was mixed with the Enemy Status Checker. As it also provided some description of the Fogriun, that was helpful... Wait- Explode!?
After I saw that, I quickly ran away from the Fogriun and it did explode but luckily I have gotten a little bit of distance.
Was that the new skills of Fogriun, thank god I had read the description and unlocked it. If not I would surely be blown to pieces right now...
I don't know what this party does but when I checked my entire system, I realized that there's a new menu appearing in the system. That was the party member menu.
*PARTY MEMBER*
+ EMPTY
There's only one slot in the party member menu, I guess I could understand what it does but what was this going to benefit me at all? It was basically useless and to think that it just gives me one slot... at least give me three. I then close it down.
I hoped that I would unlock another slot when I level up, the only thing I needed was something useful. Like some extra skill or some system feature that would greatly help me. But I think my skills would be good as well...
I only had two skills with me right now: the basic slash and the newly obtained basic thrust. It was a generic skill that was easily obtained by just doing some simple thing. I wonder if I do some complicated moves, would I be unlocking some good skill sets?
The only way to know was to fight against a monster...
Well, my objective had increased, that was to find the Flower of Eve and also clearing the monster at this field. As of right now I somewhat believe that this place does have some powerful monsters... I feel like I'm doing a side-quest.
.....
I then walked around the field of wildflower, I did encounter some wolves and my level did increase as I unlocked some new features as well. But sadly like I had expected, it just unlocked a slot in my party member menu.
I thought that I would unlock something new but sadly it didn't happen. As I was reaching level 11 at the moment, I have been unlocking the same system features. Right now I had unlocked six slots already and it seems like there would not be any new system features anymore.
Also the skill... I tried to do some moves when I was attacking the wolves that I had encountered. But it didn't unlock any new skill at all.
All of this somehow makes me frustrated... as I didn't feel the excitement anymore.
