"Elina... Do you have to check your friend level yet?"
"No, I haven't checked her level yet at the Eyes Crystal but there's no need for that." Elina paused for a bit, "Besides no one would dare to lie about being higher than level 50 anymore I think..."
"Maybe you're right Elina, only foolish people would dare to lie about that. As people ought to know what would happen if they did that."
What are they both talking about? Did something happen to the person that lies about being above level 50? Somehow hearing about this doesn't make me feel that good about keeping up the lie that I had told, as I begin to have second thoughts right now.
I just can't tell Elina the truth after all the things that I had said. She might think that I'm a liar and thus our friendship will be destroyed.
Wait a minute... does Elina even consider me as a friend? We just met each other, there's no way our relationship had gotten into that stage yet. Elina might just consider me as someone that she knows, merely acquaintances.
After giving a quick thought, it was clear to me that Elina shouldn't know about this. I hate to break her trust in me.
I then butt into the middle of their conversation, "Let's not talk about that, I'm here to buy food supplies... if we continue the conversation, I am afraid that the shop that sells potions might close."
Elina looked through the window and realized the time as well. "Indeed, the alchemist shop will close soon."
"I am sorry for taking both of your time..." The woman then says, "I recommend you to buy loaves of bread as it would probably last longer than any of the food here, it's suitable for your adventure."
The woman was right, only bread could last for a few days. With that, I grab quite a lot of bread, as I don't plan to be hungry there at all. But while I was doing that, Elina reminded me to be a little bit more mindful about spending the coins I have or I will not be able to secure myself a few potions later.
As I'm not that sure if my supplies were enough or not, I ask Elina's opinion about that matter. She simply replies that I had more than average adventurer food supplies needed to be, she told me to stop grabbing any more bread.
With that, I didn't grab any more food here and proceeded to buy the food that I had grabbed before. But there's one problem that occurred. Where the heck do I need to store the food? I know I could just use the storage that I just unlocked but it would be weird.
Because I'm sure Elina would be with me before I leave for the field of wildflowers tomorrow. She then must ask where all of the supplies are and how I need to explain to her at that time.
"It's all 10 silver coins but how do you plan to carry all of this? You ain't got a backpack with you at all." The woman said.
"I just noticed that, do you have a backpack with you Yei?" Elina asked.
"No, I don't."
"That's a problem then, we should head to the shop that sells those kinds of gears first but-"
The mature woman interrupts, "How about this... as you're helping Tim on his problem, I will be glad to give you my husband's backpack when he was still an adventurer."
"Really!?" Elina said in surprise.
I didn't expect this but at least that will solve my problem at least. But I'm really sure that this woman would be charging a lot for that backpack, as there's no way she would be giving it for free.
"Yes, Tim had helped my husband numerous times and it's kinda sad to see him shut his place up. I'm sure my husband would do the same thing..."
"How much for it? If it cost more than 5 silver coins... I am sorry but I couldn't take it if that was the case." I said.
The mature woman simply let out a laugh, "No, I wouldn't charge you at all... As I said, I will be giving you the backpack." She continues to say, "Wait a minute, I go and grab that backpack for you."
Elina then taps my shoulder as she says, "That's very lucky of you, you should be grateful to Ana and don't forget to say thanks to her."
"Of course, who would forget that."
After a few minutes of waiting, Ana finally came out with the backpack that she promised off. It wasn't that big like I imagined it would be, quite small actually but there's nothing I could say. As this was given for free to me. But all I could tell was that the backpack was definitely made from a good quality of leather.
Even if Ana had told us that it was his husband's backpack when he was still an adventurer. It still looks fairly new and still in great condition. Might be because his husband takes care of it very well and of course the material that has been used to make that backpack.
Ana then packed all of the food that I had bought into that backpack. I'm surprised that it could fit that much of a thing.
At first, I thought of giving just 10 silver coins, just like what it should be. But after realizing that it's kinda rude for me to just give it that. Even if Ana doesn't charge me, I feel like I owe her something. So with that, I just added some extra coins for her without her knowing.
After paying up and getting all of the stuff, both Elina and I walked out from that shop and headed towards our next destination. I just hope that Ana won't notice that I'm giving her more. Doesn't want her to chase me out here just to return the extra coins I gave her.
