'Well, it can't be helped' Lucien muttered in his mind.
As convenient as it is to pin the blame on instructor Emma and other members of his team, Lucien couldn't deny the fact that they probably had no choice. In an empire this big with so many noble families trying to bring him down, he could imagine what kind of pressure these people were placed under before they spilled the beans. His only issue with them was that they never once tried to visit and explain while he was locked up. He assumed they saw him as a dead man and that's why they never bothered showing up but even then, Lucien believed a dying fourteen-year-old deserved better at the very least.
While engrossed in his thoughts, Lucien walked above the crowd and didn't even bother to give a glance. He was lead to the highest floor of the castle where he was taken to a mighty silver door. Upon opening it, Lucien was stunned by what he saw. It was a large living room, richly decorated to his taste!
