"Go get it," Your mom orders you as she pushes you towards the living room.
"Okay, okay. I'm going," You say and walk (by yourself) to answer the door. When you open the door you see Cole with a big smile on his face, "You look cheerful."
"Yeah, my wolf has been going crazy since your mom asked me to join you guys for dinner," Cole tells you, "He finally calmed down when he caught your scent when I got out of the car."
"Oh, well I am glad he calmed down. Otherwise I might have sent you back home, so that you didn't act crazy,too," you say with a laugh.
Cole chuckles then agrees with you, "Yeah, I would have left as to not embarrass myself in front of your mom."
You begin to tease him more, but your mom interrupts you, "You came! I am so glad that my daughter didn't chase you away when she answered the door."
"No ma'am. Your daughter couldn't chase me away even if she tried," He reassures her.
"I am glad," Your mother says, then she remembers her manners, "Please come in! Dinner is ready, and it is already on the table."
Cole, you, and your mom go into the dining room and sit down. Cole pulls your chair out for you, and you can feel your face start to get hot with a blush, "Thank you COle."
"No problem," Cole responds, then he sits down in his own seat.
"So, Cole, (y/n) tells me that you're her mate. From what I understand the term mate is short for soulmate or something like that," Your mom says as she dishes up her plate.
"Mom," You say with a light warning tone.
Cole just laughs, "Yes it is we just say mate to make it less cliche I guess, and yes your daughter is my mate."
You could hear the emphasis he put on the word my. You can tell your mom noticed as well because her grin got even wider. Of course he had to say that to her, now you could tell that she is going to embarrass you in front of Cole.
One meal, some desert, doing the dishes, and three photo albums of you later Cole is finally getting ready to leave. Not that you are excited for him to go, you are excited for your mom to stop embarrassing you. As Cole gets his coat on your mom tells you to walk him to his car, and tells Cole to join us for dinner again soon.
You walk Cole to his car, and he pauses right next to his car door, "I had a great time tonight. Your mom is pretty awesome."
"Thanks. I had fun, too. Even though my mom embarrassed me practically the whole night," You say with a slight blush on your face.
"Hey I thought the picture of you with your mom's makeup and clothes on was cute," He says trying not to laugh.
"Hey! Don't laugh at me. I didn't give her consent to take that picture," You defend yourself.
"It's completely fine. I enjoyed just hanging out with you," He says with a sincere tone.
"Same here," You paus then awkwardly start rambling, "Not that getting embarrassed is fun, but I enjoyed-"
Cole interrupted you by kissing you softly on the cheek, "Good night."
"Good night," you say dumbfounded.
After he gets in his car and drives away you walk into your house to your mom looking out the front window, "Seriously mom?"
"What?" She says innocently.
"You know what," You tell her, and she faked ignorance, "You were spying on me and Cole."
"I would never do that," Your mom says and you give her a look, "Fine, but that was really sweet of him to do that."
"You watch too many hallmark movies," You tell her rolling your eyes, "I am going to bed. Don't wake me up again."
"Love you, too sweetie," You mom says and turns on your guys' TV in your living room.
You wake up the next morning feeling refreshed and ready to start your day. You get up and use the bathroom before you search for an outfit to wear to school today. You decide on wearing your favorite sweatshirt (it's a neon sweatshirt, preferably blue or yellow), with a light-washed jean jacket, and dark blue jeans. You try to find your old mint green vans, but you can't seem to find them. You substitute your vans for your neon pink docs with a black accent to it.
After you get dressed you go down to eat breakfast. You are surprised when you see Cole sitting at your table again, with your mom piling food on his plate. You walk into the kitchen like they weren't there savoring your happy feeling before it is bombarded by your mom.
"Sweetie, you're up! Cole came a little early to pick you up, and he missed breakfast at his house. So i figured that he could eat something while you finish getting ready," Your mom says excitedly.
"Okay, mom," You say, grabbing the carton of orange juice in your fridge, and pouring you a glass.
"Good morning, (y/n)," Cole says after swallowing the piece of food he had in his mouth, "How did you sleep?"
"With my eyes closed, how did you sleep?" You say sarcastically.
"Oh you know, I normally sleep with one eye open," Cole pauses then jokes, "You know because I have so many ex girlfriends."
"Yeah I guess I should start doing that. You can never be too careful. Especially since I am you mate I don't want to end up getting kidnapped in my sleep," You join in.
"Oh my gosh, you two are too cute," Your mother says than when the two of you look at her she says with a surprised look on her face, "Did I say that out loud?"
"Yes, yes you did," You laugh, "Well I am going to finish getting ready. Mom don't feed him too much, and Cole do not touch my food box."
