The baby's laugh fills the house, she bangs her hands and feet on the rug as I cover my face with my palms and open them again.

Her mother is more afraid than the baby is, she looks like she is going to have a heart attack every time I open my hands.
"Can you sing the star song?"
The little five-year-old boy named Ubol asks with a face full of hot soup.
"It would be my pleasure."
I begin to recite twinkle twinkle little star with Terran words so that they rhyme, and Ubol moves his little fingers together in rhythm.
The fire-pit crackles, breathing the aroma of soup into the home, the four parents already got their portion of cheese and meat, the soup is for the children.
