I stand up silently, keeping my eyes trained on Gaias.
Oddly I feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
"That sounds ridiculous" I say and walk towards the exit.
As I lift the drape I hear her stand, turning my head I keep her in my line of sight while walking out.
Solomon walks out behind me, when he steps out it looks like he is being torn out of the shadow.
He graceful jumps on the counter and raises his head towards me.
I reach over and scratch his ear.
"Does he like fish"? I ask Gaia who steps into the room.
Solomon 'meows' at this, and Gaia raises an eyebrow.
"He loves fish... how did you know"? she asks.
"I'll make sure to bring him one if I ever see you again".
Throwing my hood on, I walk towards the door.
It opens when I am halfway across the room and a tall six foot black cloaked figure steps through.
As we walk past each other I smell red wine.
Time seems to halt.
