Wuda and Topher spread the word quickly, while Daveen grabs my arm with a newfound energy source.
"These forests are full of Vol this time of year, we must find shelter."
I nod at Daveen's words, but I don't plan on going anywhere.
Vol's don't make much noise, the only indication they are around is the smell of moist sewer which is their breath, and the rustling of shrubbery as they pass by.
Jaki moves over to Daveen and me, the others begin to slowly trickle behind him.
"We need to move."
I shake my head while lifting Daveen, moving towards the stream.
"It is too risky moving at night, especially when we don't know where they are."
I place my back to the water and lay Daveen down while unsheathing my blade.
"Stand guard in a tight half-circle, how many shields do we have?"
Jaki looks around and counts out two.
"Stand guard, they should pass, if not we will kill them quickly."
