Chapter 50 - Flour Mill

The water wheel was finally ready two days after I had sent the various letters.

This was like a spectacle and everyone in the village, including the workers of other sites were currently standing all around the area where the water wheel was built. This situation arose because Adishri had blatantly announced it last night in the village that I would be making my way to the water wheel early morning to finally start the wonder.

The so-called starting was the removal of plank that separated the river from the canal that was built. As soon as I lifted the plank the direction of the flow of water shifted and it rushed inside the canal. Because the flow was rather strong the time it took to reach the wheel was quick and it was not long before it started spinning.

The children were just amazed when an object which was the size of a two-floor building moving on its own. It was pure amazement for them and they did not care less about understanding how why it was built.
