The Princess jolted up from her thoughts when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
She looked up to see Lekali staring down at her.
"What are you doing here? I've been looking all over for you," Lekali said.
The Princess turned her face away and used her hands to wipe the tears that had escaped from her eyes.
"Uh, sorry, just got lost I guess," the Princess sniffed and cleared her throat.
"Lost in thoughts?" Lekali asked as she sat down on the huge rock next to the Princess.
The Princess turned her gaze back to the river and watched as the waves flowed back to and fro.
The air was cool and fresh from her it blew against her face to tickle her delicate skin.
It was supposed to make her feel calm but it didn't. Not when her head was filled with images of a young Were buried in the flesh and bones of his parents.
"Are you okay? What's wrong?" Lekali asked silently.
