It was quiet, dark. Katherine could not even pierce the darkness that gathered along the top of her cell. Four solid walls surrounded her, there was no window but a sliver of light that slipped beneath the door. It wasn't enough, it offered her no sense of time. They had not fed her, she knew she was hungery and she felt dirty. she was thirsty, her tongue so dry she might be confused for feline not a wolf. She wondered if they meant to make her rot. A growl rumbled in her throat, her stomach tightened in hunger feeding into her annoyance. the animal inside of her never like missing a meal. She shifted from her cot as if she would rise but then what. She knew if she reached her hand out she would simply find the wall there.
She slept and woke repeating the process until she no longer understood the concept of time and finally the door open. An insticual growl rumbled in her throat, one could make out her wolf ears pressed back, her green eyes glazed over as every instict told her to strike but with what strength. They had starved her enough to force compliance. She forgot she could use words and could not reply as they tossed a white gown at her. The shirt man before her lifted up hand cuffs they rattled and held her attention as she tugged the clothing on. There was no space from her tail, it pressed beneath her dress and against her making the fabric feel tight.
"I'd like to keep all my fingers. " The man frowned at her, the growl had not stilled. She was unsure if she wanted to let him keep them all but so far she had avoided an amount of violence. she was just so hungry. She closed her eyes and took a breath to quiet herself. She stepped forward and the man stiffen, she did not lung as she lifted her hands. He looked relieved as he wrapped the cuffs around her wrists before he lead the way.
She was lead up winding stairs but still no window. She hoped she would get fed soon, her mind was one tracked. she should be worried about other things, she had been caught stealing and not just from anyone but from him.
Perhaps she was focusing on food to avoid such thoughts. She was taken through a hallway and to a door. When it opened she was surprised to find a bathroom. At least it seemed to be night, it was dark out the window. The man undid her cuffs and closed the door with out another word. She stood quiet but quickly on she was being given a chance to clean up. The woman accepted the offer locking the door as if it made a difference. The lord of this land seemed to be quite update with his plumbing, more advance then others she was greeted with a chance to bathe. Katherine was a woman to take her time, she went through drawers and cupboards finding things to clean herself. She stayed in the bath so long the man knocked and demanded to know she was alright.
She sighed not ready to face her reality. "Am I expected somewhere? It takes time to clean the fur."
The man was quiet for a moment and the voice to answer was not the same as a moment before.
"Are you enjoying yourself," This voice was deeper, her ears twitched as her gaze landed on the door. She sank deeper into the bath.
"yes, the cell bed was not comfortable. I'm hungry though, do I get that too," she casually asked. She rose from the water, it sloshed about the bath spilling over the edge.
"I see, you're hungry. I'm sure we can do something about the food, I suggest you get dressed, hurry up." The voice sounded amused leaving her confused. she was about to ask what she was expected to wear only to note the dress folded on the counter that had not been there moment before. Not white but black, she arched a brow but who was she to question these things. she was along for the ride. she dried and dressed and found this dress was prepared for her, a slit for her soft tail. she had dried it the best she could. The fabric was soft, the front cut. she paused to look at herself in the mirror. Truly she preferred her natural form of a wolf, clothes like this seemed fancy. She stole to be paid, to make her life comfortable so she could live as she liked. She felt a wave of nerves, what now. She had been caught and as a lone wolf she would have none who would care to seek her. Made her almost miss the comfort of a pack, almost.
She finally out only to see the short guard before. She seemed so confident if only he could see the brunet squirming moment before. She held out her wrists again with a smile, her eyes seeming to glow as she leaned towards him. "Hurry up~"
I am ready to face it, show me what will happen, she thought.
The cuffs were clicked into place and she was lead along the hallway once more until they came to a dining room. She could smell the food, trapped beneath metal lids laid on the table. She almost drooled, inhaling deeply, her ears perked up and then she noted the man at the head of the table.
Lord Elrik Blackwood.
He gazed at her, eyes the color of storm clouds. His blond hair golden beneath the gas lighting, there was a smirk upon his lips as if he knew some secret she did not. "Well take a seat then," the voice belong to the man who had spoken earlier. He gestured with long fingertips to the seat beside him expecting her to sit close. She stilled not moving at first, silence hung between them.
He rose and reached for the seat he had gestured to and pulled it out. She took in a deep breath calming her nerves as she stepped forward to take a seat.
