Chapter 9 - Chapter 8 - Underwater adventure

iishi smiles, proud of his achievement. After all, no one has made their own wifi cable without the FBI after them.

"I don't think we should tell anyone about the existence of this island yet"

'"I also agree" Tsuyoshi says

"We should level up in the meantime. Rimuru!"

Rimuru bounces towards iishi and hops inside his backpack.

"System, is there a way we can find out how much of the island we discovered?"

[Yes. By saying "Island Map"]

"Ok then, Island Map"

A screen appeared in front of iishi. On it, showed the structure of the island and also having a percentage of how much they discovered the current island level. iishi looks at the percentage which was only 40%.

"Only 40%!? This number has to be incorrect!"

[The System does not make any mistakes]

"If that's the case then, there is something we're missing here"

iishi and Tsuyoshi looks around the island for minutes. However, they can not find anything. But that's when iishi gets the genius idea to look around the outer areas of the forest. iishi and Tsuyoshi looks around in those areas for a few minutes before just giving up. iishi sat down on the beach in frustration.

"We've looked everywhere!" Tsuyoshi says in annoyance

iishi looks towards the waters.

"Maybe not everywhere"

"What do you mean?"

iishi points into the water.

"You're kidding right?"

"I mean, why not? it's the only thing we haven't explored yet, are you scared of the ocean?" Asked iishi

"A-Ah well you s-see. I can't swim" Tsuyoshi replies with embarrassed expression.

"Oh, well I'll help you then! Rimuru!"

Rimuru hopped out of his backpack and landed on his arms. iishi wraps his head around Rimuru like an astronaut helmet.

"Uh, are you sure this is going to work?"

"Haha! No. Here grab this slime and do what I did" iishi tosses him a blue slime

Tsuyoshi grabs the slime and wraps his head around it.

"Alright here we go!"

They both jumped into the water. iishi grabbed Tsuyoshi and put his arms under Tsuyoshi's.

"I can breathe!" Tsuyoshi says in shock

Suddenly, the feeling of the ground touching his feet has faded and fear quickly overtook him.

"Don't worry, I got you"

After a few more seconds of falling, they landed on something. They walked through some sort of entrance and was slapped in the face by a fish.

"Ugh disgusting" Tsuyoshi says

They looked around them in shock. In front of them, as a underwater city! And it appeared that the ruins were inhabited by groups of vibrant and colorful fish.

"So this is what we've been missing this whole time!"

"Maybe we can find some hidden loot in there!"

"Alright, but make sure to be cautious. We don't know what kind of monsters are in this place"

They walk up to the ruins and examines it. Tsuyoshi feels the texture with his hand.

"It feels like scales. And surprisingly, uncomfortably warm"

"Let's look around some more"

iishi and Tsuyoshi looks around in the ruins. iishi finds a chest that was glowing bright blue and shaking. He opened the chest and found an weird orb. The orb had a dark blue outline and glowed bright blue on the inside. Inside the orb, was a cube that had the same design as a Rubix cube

"What is this...?"

iishi picks up the orb.

[You've obtained 1 of the 10 legendary treasures: The Orb of Everything]

[Orb of Everything Level: 0.01]

[Description: Ask it for what you want, this orb has anything you can imagine. However, you can only gain items according to the Orb of Everything's level. You level it up by feeding it books. ]

"Wow! This is amazing! With this, my main goal should be much easier"

iishi and Tsuyoshi meets back up in the middle of the ruins.

"Look what I found!"

"Ooh, what is that?"

"It's called The Orb of Everything"

"Sounds powerful"

iishi puts the orb into his inventory and pulls out the island map

"We've discovered 60% of the entire Island! Let's look around some more"

iishi and Tsuyoshi began to look around the ruins again, in search of any other items. Suddenly, the underwater city began to shake violently.

"What's going on!?" iishi shouted

Something big crashed through the wall! An octopus with an eye on his forehead flings his tentacles at iishi and Tsuyoshi. iishi dodges one of the tentacles and slices it off!

"SCREEEECH!!!!" the octopus screamed in pain

Almost instantly, the octopus regenerates its sliced of limb and rushes towards iishi.

"What the hell!?"

The octopus shoots a laser from it's third eye and tracks iishi! Tsuyoshi jumps on his head and stabs him in the eye.

"SCREEEEIEK!!"

The octopus grabs Tsuyoshi with one of its tentacles and throws him against a wall.

"GAAAAH!!"

Tsuyoshi fell to the ground and his vision began to get blurry, fading into the darkness. iishi tries to run over Tsuyoshi but is suddenly grabbed by the octopus and dragged away.

"i-ishii..." Tsuyoshi struggled to speak

'Is this the end of me...?'

He closed his eyes and stopped breathing.

"NO!"

Tsuyoshi's eyes shot open, he groaned and got off the ground. With a determined look on his face, he picked up his daggers and forced himself to move.

Tsuyoshi walked through the destroyed ruins and looked for the octopus. Eventually, he finds iishi wrapped up in some sort of tentacle cocoon.

"IISHI!"

Tsuyoshi hurriedly ran towards iishi and cuts him free. He catches iishi and lays him on the floor. Suddenly, a loud screech is heard behind him and he is slapped into the wall by a tentacle. The octopus grabs Tsuyoshi and slams his across the floor.

"AGH!!!"

Tsuyoshi eventually cuts himself free and rushes at the octopus. He dodges the octopus's attacks and stabs it in the head multiple times. The octopus screams in pain as it shoots out laser beams towards Tsuyoshi. Tsuyoshi swiftly dodges the attacks and appears behind the octopus, stabbing him in the head again.

"SCRAGH!!!!"

The octopus gave one last screech before Tsuyoshi killed the octopus with one more stab to the head. The blood on his head dried up and was healed up from the slime on his head, Tsuyoshi painted heavily. He dropped to the ground and fainted.
