Chapter 52 - Central Capital

In a market-like structure, two women with medieval cloaks, one black, and the other white; walked through the crowd. One was light-skinned while the other was dark as ebony. They were like day and night completely contrasting each other.

Master A was wearing a black medieval cloak while her master was wearing a white cloak. They had to conceal their identity because of some reasons only know to a few people.

This market was not an ordinary one. It was one for only supernatural beings. Demons, succubus, incubus, werewolves, fallen angels, and many more. Coming to such a place was dire but she knew that this was the only place they could come to If they wanted answers concerning this Razel's whereabouts.

As they walked past the crowd, they could sense stares on them but they chose to ignore it. Although these beings were powerful, they were no match for master A's master. All they could do was stare and show their aloofness. They didn't know who they both were but sensing the power that came from them made all the beings stand on one foot.

Finally, they got to a brothel. Master A stared at her master. This place was unpleasant and indecent but then again what did she expect from those immoral demons. Those sly creatures. She utterly despised the sight of them and that stench smell of immorality.

Her master stood by the entrance showing no expression and asked one of the demons guarding the door to get the demon in charge. The demon guards stared at each other, then laughed.

"We don't take orders from you."

Master A was getting angered. How dare these mare demons talk to her master like that? She was about to make a move but her master held her back. And signaled her not to make any rash decision. Yes, they indeed were no match for the master but one can not be too confident besides, this was their territory.

The master looked at the guards. Because the hood of her cloak was on, they didn't recognize her so she simply unhurriedly took off her hood revealing her ethereal beauty causing the demons to realize who she was. Of course, they could never forget that face, not after all the problems she had let them go through. Realizing this, they glare at her. How dare she come here. Even though they didn't like the sight of her, there was nothing they could do other than to obey her wishes if not so, they'd have to face the wrath of their boss.

One of the guards nudged the other signaling him to go tell their demon lord about the woman's appearance.

Soon after the guard went in, the sound of two footsteps was heard approaching the entrance.

"D" the man that came along with the guard spoke.

"Levi," she replied.

There was a moment of silence before the demon asked. "So what brings you here? Or is it that you missed me so much you couldn't stay away?"

D didn't bother herself with his baseless words rather, she went straight to the point.

"Razel... Where is he."

At the sound of that name, Levi's eye turned dark.

"Why? Did you suddenly find him more attractive?"

Maintaining a straight face, D replied. "He took something that belongs to me."

Levi had always fancied D but even he knew that they could never be together. The sun, moon, and even the stars were against both of them. But even after realizing this, he never gave up on her even though it was a one-sided love, he wasn't bothered at all. D on the other hand knew about his intentions towards her but she acted oblivious to it.

"So you are saying you need my help to kick his ass or what?" Levi felt more relieved thinking about how quick the tables turned. But D's response caused him to frown.

"No! I only need you to tell me his location. I can handle the rest on my own besides, he's going to be too difficult for you to handle. But to me, he's a piece of cake." she intentionally said this to shoo him away.

Levi pouted. How can she be so straightforward with her word? She indeed could handle Razel but that didn't mean that he could fight Razel at all. The fight indeed would take a long time but that didn't make him any less than Razel.

"Well, it's been months since I last saw him. The last time we discussed, something was odd in his behavior. It seems he finally met his match. By the way, what am I going to gain from telling you about his location?" Levi was not just a demon but a demon lord who was ruthless and fights many battles but in front of D, he behaves like a mere little child.

D was expecting him to ask for something in return and definitely, she wasn't stupid enough to ask him to mention whatever he wanted because she knew what the answer would be. So she simply named what she would give him in return.

"Five more years of immortality."

Levi scoffed was she kidding? Five more years of immortality to the three thousand years he already had? What was he going to do with just five extra years?

Seeing his unwillingness, she doubled the years. But even with that, he didn't budge.

"Fine! Make a request and if I find it worth it, I'll grant it but if I don't find it worth it, I will turn it down."

Levi's eye lit up as he swung a dagger in his hand playfully but his smile didn't last for long. "D, you and I both know what I really want..." he didn't even finish his statement when she cut him off.

"Rejected. Make a different request."

Levi's eyes turned dark. He was disappointed. "I'm afraid I can't help you with Razel then." D didn't think twice before turning around.

"Well then Levi, till we meet again."

Levi was stupefied. This lady was really something. She didn't even spend a second before turning around. He stared at her silhouette hoping that she would turn around and ask him to change his mind but she didn't instead, he was the one who had to bend.

"Can't you be a little considerate even if it's for a day? You didn't even wait for a second... Fine! I'll help you find him." he suggested unwillingly.

D turned around with a brow raised.

"And what request will you make?"

Levi pouted. "I'd rather not receive any reward. You're too arrogant."

D didn't press any further. Besides, it is his loss. "Your choice." she shrugged.

"When do we leave?" He asked apathetically as he began to walk back into the brothel.

"Now!"

When he heard her answer, his face immediately fell. Is she out of her mind? Now? I'm already in a bad mood and I need some wine to soothe my broken heart but she's suggesting we go now. Heartless! He turned around and glared at her.

"You're really too much. Can't you just let me rest for a while? Besides, I only just started enjoying myself when you came and ruined my mood. Can't you allow me to take some wine at least?" He had been lazing around all day but here he was complaining about resting.

D didn't say anything and just simply began to walk away causing Levi to instantly regret accepting to help her. He groaned in frustration but in the end, he had no option but to follow her.

As they walked out of Central capital, Levi began to talk. It felt like his unhappiness disappeared with the market.

"Razel told me that he would be going to Havana."

D sighed and looked as though thinking about something. "Havana? Why would he choose to go there of all places? It's obvious he wanted to hide well. I would never have guessed that he would go there."

"Seems he wanted to hide it from you." Levi shrugged.

"And you are easily giving off this information because..." D asked

Levi scoffed and asked as a matter of factly. "And you came to me because..."

They kept walking for a long time before they finally got to a location. Master A stopped.

"Why is this so easy?"

D smiled and said. "Of course he told Levi because he wanted us to find him easily. He knows that Levi is incapable of keeping such news to himself. So this, this is all part of his plan."
