Braylan didn't attend the school that day as per the request/order given by Father Gerald. Samuel, on the other hand, had gone to school. Braylan was left alone with Mrs. Dashner. He offered for help, but there was nothing much to do indoors so he was sitting in Samuel's room, trying to do something. He had read all the books Samuel owned and he didn't even feel like reading anything. His mind kept going back to the previous night and the mysterious behavior of Father Gerald. He was sitting on one of the bean bags, his back towards the door, facing the window, looking at nothing, but at the same time, looking at everything. The more he thought about the ongoing issue, the less it made sense.
After a long time, Braylan finally got up and walked out of the room.
