He shoot up. He had fallen asleep on the rug. He was sweating and his heart was beating rapidly. His room was filled with the golden light of early morning that was coming through the glass of the window. He sat there, gasping for air. He felt like a fish out of water.
What do they mean by it's not the time? Who were they? Why was Jacob acting all weird. I don't even know when the dream started and when I was in the real thing. His brain was full the of thoughts. The time was 5:53 in the morning. Almost the time to wake up. So instead of trying to get some more sleep, Jayden walked up to the bathroom and brushed his teeth. He was covered in sweat and felt disgusting. So he decided to take a quick shower.
Within no time, he realised that he was being watched. It was his sixth sense that alerted him. He somehow knew that whoever/whatever it was, it was not more than one. All this specifications made him feel uneasy.
He dialled Jacob's number as he wanted to let someone know about this. It took 5 minutes to wake Jacob.
"Morning Jacob! "
"Morning" Jacob's voice was sleepy. " Why did you do the honours of waking me up?" he asked grumpily.
"Well, I have some serious stuff. But you gotta believe me!"
"Hmmmm! Go ahead. I am all ears."
"Wait I think someone's here." Jayden didn't disconnect the call. He saw a shadow move away quickly.
"Braylan?" He followed the shadow. But there was no Braylan but another boy around Braylan's age.
"Who are you?" Jayden was stammering. The boy smiled. They wasn't solid. He was translucent. Jayden could see through him, not clearly though.
" Who and what are you? How did you get in?" Jayden asked again.
"They will hurt you! Just like me!" The boy whispered.
" Who will hurt me and who are you?" Jayden asked again. Before the boy could reply, something else apparited behind the boy.

Even the slightest sign of sleep vanished from Jacob's eyes. The call wasn't disconnected and he heard the conversation between a stranger and his best friend. Not only that, he heard weird noises. It was like someone was strangling a human. He could hear muffled screams and heavy breathings.
"Jayden, Jayden, buddy!! You there?"
A painful groan was the only answer he could get.
"What is going on, Jayden?"
"Rip.. Rip the soul.." a harsh voice replied him. "What the hell is happening? What should I do?" Jacob whispered to himself. There was a loud thud and the call disconnected. Jacob's heart was pounding. He was scared. Something did happen. Jayden was probably not fine. He wasn't allowed to leave the house before breakfast or else he would have ra straight to Jayden's.He stood up and ran to the bathroom. He cleaned his teeth and quickly showered. His brain was going wild in making assumptions. He would imagine his buddy lying on his back, his face bloody and his body lifeless. He would see Jayden twitching in pain as some unknown thing was trying to pull his soul. He would see a maimed Jayden lying on the bed who was unconscious and probably in coma. He just shook his head to stop his brain from imagining situations. He quickly got dressed and waited for an eternity before his mom woke up and prepared the breakfast.
********************************************** It was a tall figure that had appeared. It's eyes didn't have eyeballs or maybe it was just eyeballs as the eyes were black. It had no hair and its ears looked like they were melted. It's nose was really pointed and his lips were two lines of black. It was a deformed man. His limbs were on their places but his skin seemed to be decomposing. The ghost boy saw him and ran away and quickly disappeared. The new comer turned towards Jayden and he felt the same pain in his left hand and this time, he wasn't dreaming for sure. He groaned in pain. The man was looking greedily towards Jayden. He licked his lips and his tongue was green. He smacked his lips and said:
"Rip.. Rip the soul.." He started moving towards Jayden and Jayden started back walking. He bumped into something, lost his balance and fell flat on his back. The man smiled and took a step towards Jayden. But he was unable to reach him. His face turned red. "It's still not the time!" He said in agony and left.
"Jayden! What happened?" Marco was standing there.
"Nothing." Jayden lied. He quickly stood up ad dusted his clothes.
"What are you doing here at this time of the day? I thought someone broke into our house."
"Well, I woke up early and couldn't go back to sleep. I was thirsty so I was going to drink water. But I lost my balance and fell." He quickly made up a story and prayed that his dad would buy it. Marco did believe his story.
They were sitting around the kitchen counter, eating pancakes. Braylan was trying to get Jayden's eyes. But Jayden was avoiding his eyes. He knew that Braylan would want to talk about his grave adventure.
"New Rule" Marco said after sometime. "Whoever goes in the second park, will be grounded for a month with no electronic devices. There have been kidnappings in that area."
"I don't know why we would go there. Especially after the incident." Jayden murmured. A part of him still wanted his parents to believe him.
"What happened to you was imagination. Stop thinking about it." Jane said. Jayden didn't reply and ate the rest of his breakfast in silence. He was really mad at his parents for thinking of him as a hallucinating dude.
After finishing breakfast, Jayden remembered that he was in a call with Jacob. Instead of calling him, Jayden decided to go see him in person.
"Mom I am going to Jacob's. Will be back by lunch." He said to his mom. "Or by dinner." he added in a murmur.
"Ok honey, Bye!"
Jayden started walking towards the door.
