While Kartra and Lav were arranging the water, she asked who Huna was, and why she looked at her like she was going to kill her, but Lav said nothing to her.
"Just talk!" She whispered, then Lav held her hand, which angered Huna who was just few feet aways from them.
"Please keep shut." He said to her as he stood up, then it dawned on Kartra that "her luggage was not packed."
"Hold on Ceb cold face" She stopped him from mounting on the amorka, while Huna just stood there fuming in anger. Hin just moved a little away from her, since Huna had the purple power from the rainbow which was the weather power.
"I think you forgot something." Kartra said to Lav whose reply was a smirk on his face. Then since he was taller than her, he bent to her height level, then whispered to her ears "Thanks for assisting."
"You must be kidding right? Tell me you're joking. Haha very funny, stop the joke already man." She said but Lav made his way up on the amorka. Then Huna already knew what their relationship was, and calmed down.
"Can't you see, he does not want you here." She said as she walked up to Kartra who was pleading with Lav, while Hin just watched the drama that was about to start. He knew his sister had always crushed on Lav, infact everyone knew. And he knew how cold she could be with anyone who dare to be close to him.
"Leave with your things." She half yelled, which was no surprise to anyone there even Kartra who just met her. She was expecting worse.
"I know y'all want me to leave, but I'm pretty sure the cute guy standing over there won't let me." Kartra referred to Hin who was watching the drama. At first, he did not grab she was talking about him, but when Huna looked at him, he realised she was talking about him.
Did she just call him cute?
Even though Kartra was leaf coloured and they saw it has a disability, she was pretty and had a great smile.
"Me?" He asked, while Lav smirked he understood what she was up to.
"Sure, you can come along." He answered just as she predicted.
"Thanks handsome." She smiled as Huna frowned at him.
"I'm coming along." Kartra said to Lav who was on his amorka, while Hin ran to her, and helped with her luggage.
"Thanks alot." She thanked him as he helped her.
Huna was so angry, Lav could have just disagreed, he had never for once regard Hin's opinion, why was this different.
She watched Hin assist Kartra, he could not caution himself, it was the first time a girl actually called him cue, since he had been "friends" with Lav, there was no way any girl could have noticed him. And now even after meeting the handsome god Lav, she called him cue.
Soon they finished packing and Kartra made her way to climb on Lav's amorka, then Huna stopped her.
"Wrong amorka girl, this is the one you're taking, I'll climb on that one." She said as Kartra agreed, but Lav opposed.
In less than a minute more than 7 terrible instances flashed in his mind. He and Huna on the same Amorka, even on separate amorkas, she's a pain, then on the same Amorka, she'd be death itself.
"Hold on, your luggages are over there, stay there. I don't have a problem with her." He said with a straight face.
"But?" Huna tried to oppose, then stopped herself, and stared at Kartra who just gave her a "this ain't my fault" smile.
Soon she got on the amorka, and they started moving. Watching Lav and Kartra on the same Amorka got her so mad, that she said nothing throughout the journey. While, Hin who seemed to had fallen for Kartra kept watching her. Everything she did seemed so right to him.
It was sunset already, and they had to stop to rest. After a little argument, they agreed that the females would arrange the shelter, while the males would get some sticks. Initially, Hin wanted to be with Kartra, but Lav disagreed immediately and suggested the siblings stayed together, the thoughts of Huna beside him freaked him out. Neither Hin nor Huna agreed to this, then Kartra suggested the females worked together, vice versa.
Since Huna already disliked Kartra she disagreed, but then that was the only choice since she did not want Kartra and Lav together.
After they were done, all except Kartra slept. She had this habit of looking at the stars before falling asleep, they were so beautiful. She sat on a little rock and gazed at it. Meanwhile, Lav was having a hard time sleeping, Hin kept placing his hand on his ear. He got up in annoyance, and left the shelter.
He then noticed a figure, moving closer to it, he noticed it was Kartra. "Of all people it had to be her, so deceitful" he thought. He needed some alone time, so he decided to move to another place, then something struck him.
"Where the hell is she coming from, where the hell is she going? And why is she leaf coloured?"
"Hey!" He called out as he moved to her direction, picked another rock and sat down.
"Hmmmm ceb cold face." She answered with all focus on the stars, and he smiled.
"You know I have a name. Even each of the stars do have a name." He said to her, "Lav, I'm Lav." He added as he brought his hand forward for a handshake.
"I'm Kartra." She answered as they shook hands.
Kartra! She's Kartra and yet leaf coloured, that seemed so familiar to him, he was just finding it hard to remember where he knew her from.
"Kartra Onjilo?" He asked.
"Yeah." She answered bluntly.
"And where are you from?" He asked her.
