My hands were untied. I was alone in the room and changed in to a very modest, to day the least, antique white long night gown.
I sat up. Looked around. And tried to stand. I had been immobile for so long I couldn't bear my weight. So I just sat there in the floor and waited. Finally the door began to open. I looked over with eyes wide to see who was coming through. It was Kate! I was actually excited to see her. I have been alone or with cruel hands other than hers for what has to have been atleast a week now.
She looked at me confused as to why I was in the floor. I watched as she approached me.
"Why are you on the floor dear?" Kate asked. I replied "I tried to stand up and I couldn't do it" as I looked down to my feet.
She grabbed my hands and let off a slight smile. "Let me help you, and then we will head to lunch."
My eyes very wide at this point reached for her as her hands reached for me. She pulled me up and helped steady me. She stood there, like a solid rock supporting much of my weight as it slowly shifted back to my own feet. It felt good to stand. I smiled at her. "Thank you. I'm feeling much better"
I trailed.
"Kate. Can you please tell me where I am and how's I got here and who the man was that burned me..?"
