As the zombies made their way towards them at a moderate space, Johnathan and Ivan took out their knives. They got into a fighting stance and backed away slowly, while watching the zombies' movements.
"I have a plan"
"What's the plan Danny"
Danny them explained his plan after hearing Ivan's question. The plan was simple. Danny would take out the food and drinks from his bag before throwing the bag at one of the zombies. Once the bag his the zombie, it would blind him for a second or two and in that time frame Johnathan and Ivan should be able to kill the other two.
Johnathan and Ivan were skeptical about the plan for two reasons. One was because he doubted the bag would actually blind the zombie. The other being whether or not him and Ivan would be able to kill the other two in such a short time frame if the zombie did get blinded.
"I don't know if that will work, but there no harm in trying"
Ivan felt the same way as Johnathan but he still felt like there was still a point in trying. Danny nodded as he quickly unpacked the food and water bottles before throwing his bag at the zombie on the right.
Once it hit the zombie, unsurprisingly nothing happened. Johnathan was getting annoyed so he thought of something else. He quickly took out another knife that was inside his bag and threw it as hard and accurate as he could at the zombie in front of him.
*Swisshhhh*
The knife flew in the air and hit the zombies head. Unluckily though, only the handle part hit it. However, because of the force Johnathan threw it with, the zombie fell over. This gave Johnathan and Ivan a chance to deal with the zombies that were left standing.
Johnathan and Ivan then started sprinting towards the other zombies with their knives pointed at them. Once they reached their zombie, they easily dodged the scratch the zombie's tried to hit them with.
After dodging the scratch, Johnathan switched the way he was holding the knife and stabbed it into his opponents head, killing it. Ivan did same as he quickly stabbed the knife into it's forehead.
The fight wasn't over yet. The zombie who had fallen over had already gotten up and was about to attack Johnathan, who had been closest to it.
Since the zombie was close, Johnathan gripped his knife as hard as he could which made his arm bulge with veins before throwing it as hard as he could life a spear. The knife flew through the air and stabbed into the zombies eye. Since it was an 'undead', it couldn't feel pain, so it didn't slow down too much. But the zombie had no chance as Ivan had already sprinted towards it and stabbed it in the head.
Once the zombies were dead everyone released a sigh of relief. Johnathan turned towards Ivan and high-fived him in celebration to how they took them down.
After the zombies had died, Danny and Ash had stepped closer to them since there wasn't anymore danger.
"Good job guys"

Johnathan and Ivan responded to Danny who had walked passed them and grabbed his bag before walking back to where the supplies were and refilling the bag.
Once Danny had finished putting everything back, he walked back to group of boys who were looking at the bodies of the zombies. He noticed a wide smile on Johnathan and Ivan's face. Wondering why they were smiling he asked.
"What happened"
"Here you go. Now you wont be useless in a fight anymore"
Catching the crystal Ivan had thrown at him, Danny smiled before quickly eating it. Soon after he ate it, a terrible pain came forward, yet he didn't scream. He didn't want to put them in danger once again. Though he might not have shown it, he was terribly angry at himself, and depressed about the situation he was in. First he put his friends in danger by screaming, which drew in a horde of zombies. Next, when they faced these zombies he had done nothing. Even his plan didn't work out the way he wanted it too. Overall he felt like he was useless and was stressing out. He had to worry about not only surviving, but also saving his family.
This didn't just apply to him. Johnathan was also feeling stressed. When he called his brother and found out his mother didn't answer, his heart fell. He knew that something could've happened to his mother but even now he was holding onto that shred of hope he had. Not only his mother but his father as well as his younger brother. He cant help but worry about whether they were alive or not. He had spoken to his brother a while ago but he didn't know whether or not zombies had managed to get their way to the roof.
Ivan had the same problem. His siblings were enrolled at his school but they took a day off to work on a project they had. Though he knew they were home, when he called them, no one had answered. Fear and stress were building up in him but he didn't want to lash out or cry. He knew that the other two felt the same way and were also holding in their worries.
After the pain Danny got up without much struggle and let out a breath. 'The other two were right. This does feel amazing'.
"Welcome to the super soldier club"
Ivan and Danny laughed at Johnathan's comment before they continued to walk forwards. After ten minutes of walking they finally reached the platform. They climbed up and walked towards the stairs. Once they got to the stairs and were about to walk up it, Johnathan and the other two boys with powers stopped and silently cursed. They heard zombies, multiple. Just when they were about to walk back down, Ash surprisingly grabbed onto them.
"Can't we make a lot of noise in another place and draw them there"
Hearing the small boys input on the situation, a light bulb lit in their heads. If they threw a water bottle to the other half of the platform, the zombies being as dumb as they were, would most definitely go to the sound.
