While Flaris was safely placed inside the cottage, Wu Long cast a smany magic spells around the place as he could. The dark clouds over the cottage were actually much lighter than those around this planet. This was to dissuade the Queen from coming here. Because the Queen hated thunderstorms, rains etc, as much as she hated him! So if she was coming here to gloat, he was not going to make her feel welcome in any way! It was a good thing that he had sensed the change immediately in atmosphere of the planet immediately. He smiled sardonically as he wondered how the seat Queen would feel if she knew that he had made slight changes to the atmosphere so that it would smell and whenever she was in there. He fastened his pace towards the castle, ready to make the preparations to receive her as the rain now started to pour heavily while the clouds rumbled and roared loudly blasting bolts of energy almost wishing that the Queen would fly in and be electrocuted!
As the small circular space vessel settled onto the surface of the planet, Queen Ingris turned up her nose at the weather. prince Ivruss seemed to be in real pain over his mate not reaching him. When she had heard of him getting a mate, she had worried that the Fates had let go of the punishment. She, Queen Ingris, had even been ready to kowtow to the fates and complain to them about their leniency. But then the news had come in that the Bride had never arrived! Queen Ingris could not have been happier! And now she had come to witness the misery of that man.
As the rains poured, a slender, tall and pale green colored woman walked through the arched city gates with her head held high. Behind her, a bevy of lords and servants hurried to keep up with her and to protect the precious Highness from getting wet! The woman's narrow face and pointedly prominent chin were raised even higher as she stared around the place.
At the doors of the castle, the blonde General Jen Ting bowed deeply to the woman. Queen Ingris stared at the man and did not ask him to straighten up. Her eyes were filled with loathing at this man's sight. If there was anyone she hated the most in her life, it was that Prince Ivruss. In fact, her hate for that man far exceeded her love for her children. But the next person she hated the most was this General Jin Teng! For this man was the reason that most of her schemes failed in her quest to finish off Ivruss.
General Jin Teng was too loyal to Ivruss and tended to be an unshakeable force. But this time, the fates had played a card and even Jin Teng failed. Queen Ingris frowned when she saw the General Jin Teng continued to remain in a perfect bowed posture after so long and carelessly gestured for him to straighten up.
Without a break, Jin Teng straightened up and soon the Queen's guards were stopped from entering. Ingris frowned at this and snapped," General Jin Teng! Your audacity seems to be growing with every one of my visits. How dare you stop my guards from following me in? What if something were to happen to me inside? Would you be willing to take responsibility? Let my guards in!"
General Jin Teng, however simply brought his hand in front of him and apologized," My apologies to the Queen. But Prince Ivruss has ordered that no one is to be allowed to visit him. He would understand my impertinence in letting, The Queen, in. But he might get angry and behead your guards which would also be a grave insult. So to prevent this, I ask the Queen to be big hearted and come inside alone. The Queen can come to no harm in Prince Ivruss' palace."
Queen Ingris smiled at the irony of the sentence and let the guards stand there. Someday, she would definitely hurt herself and the the king would have to decide whether to side with his favourite son or his dutiful wife. But now was not that time. Now was the time of rub some salt on the Prince's wound.
