The whole wedding was torture for Alexandra, her husband Xavier Evelin did not even once cast his eyes on his newly wedded wife. It was more like her whole existence did not exist to him. Alexandra realized that night that she was fated to endure a loveless marriage. It was not like she expected to love, she knew better than to hope for such a thing to happen to her.
When the reception ended they boarded the car and they went to her newly wedded husband's home. In the car
Alexandra: I know that was not the best way for us to begin our relation but I hope we will come to care for each other in the future.
Xavier: Don't even dream about us being intimate and having a normal husband and wife relationship. I married you just because my father has said that I will not be able to inherit the company if I don't marry you. I already have a girlfriend which I love. Also don't even dream about me faithful to you, I don't plan to break up with my girl just for you.
This made Alexandra's heart hurt so bad, what was wrong with her fate. It seems that she was doomed to be unhappy all her life.
Tears were threatening to fall from Alexandra's eyes, but she held them in as she did not want to be a laughing stock in front of her husband.
Alexandra: Can't you at least give a chance to our marriage. I think we could easily grow affection for each other.
Xavier: Pff…. Please don't make me laugh. Do you think that you deserve my affection? From what I know your father sold you to our family just to get a contract with our family.
When Alexandra has heard this she realized how little did she matter in her father's heart. This made her heart hurt like hell, but what she could do, she gave her love to her father but it seems she was long forgotten.
Alexandra: I understand, I won't impose on you in the future.
After she has said those words she turned her face to look at the window letting some of her tears run free. What was she hoping for? Cinderella's story won't happen in real life, it was not possible for her handsome husband to love her. It seems that not even her parents loved her, what could she expect from strangers.
