The Definition on the Devils curse: When the caster of the curse puts it their enemy, their enemy cannot hurt the caster of the curse or they'll end up with the injury that they wanted on the caster of the curse. Hope, even though she's not my blood daughter, she still is like one to me, just like my other daughter, Fate. As I sit at my desk in my office, I hear a knock on my window. I immediately grab my gun and turning around, it's Cain. Great, putting my gun down and opening the window, Cain climbs through and looks at me with something on his mind, but the scary is what is it?
"What's wrong Cain? If it's bad news tell me now," I tell him
"Father Van Moore, sorry for scaring you, but we've got news about Ghost and Vlad, they made their first move, we need John now more than ever," my eyes open up in soaking wet fright. This is too soon, especially for John.
"I'm calling Kate, keep an eye on John, don't get yourself caught," I say ordering him. Cain nods and jumps back out the window. My office door opens up and I see Hope running in.
"Dad, Fate's missing, can I borrow a few hunters to find her?" she asks. This is great first Ghost and Vlad, now Fate being missing in action for the third time.
"Grab the three from the first time you needed help on finding her," I say then Hope running back out and closing the door behind her. Kate, you got your wish, but it's going to be major problems with this, including Ghost especially. Calling up Kate, after a few rings, she picks up.
"Hello Father Van Moore, what's going on?" she asks. Sighing as words cannot express how frightened I am for leading John into the war. Even though he's the one who needs to defeat the monster behind Ghosts back, Kate is right and we now as hunters behind Kates back will send information towards servants of Ghosts army that Cain will never see coming. Which fate will have John begin being trained to work full time as a hunter…like all of us.
"Kate, you're right, and I'll be planning on how to let John know about the war, I hope you do not ever hate me for my mistakes that have been causing pain for both you and John," I say explaining this to her. Kate is silent and then sighs through the phone.
"I see and thank you for letting me know, I'll be there so we can talk further about these news that you have just brought up, I'll see you in a bit," Kate says then hangs up the phone. Putting the phone back down, I stand up from my chair and walk to the window. Looking at Fate working on the garden with Hope and a woman who pretends to be their Mother, she's a hunter since Fate and Hope are older than they look.
"If you two girls only knew, I know more than you think—" I say to myself then there came a knock on my door. Pulling out my gun from my back pocket, I walk to the door and as I slowly and quietly open the door, I see Kate standing with her amulet around her neck. Putting my gun back in my back pocket, I let her in. We walk to the couch and sit down.
"So what happened that you would let John know that there's a war between us and Ghost with his army?" Kate asks in caution. There's no excuse for me pushing her to keep herself from showing love to John, I need to repent for my actions and my plans will be shown after Ghost is defeated as both me and Hope will be there for him as well as the rest of us. We love you John, do not ever forget that.
"Kate we both have children, and I know it kills you inside and I'd be in as much pain as you, but I made my bed and in order to sleep in it, I'll help free you and John from being two worlds apart, two days from now I'll let him know, but in my way, okay Kate?" I say to her. Kate nods and stands up.
"I forgive you, but I want a witness to know that you mean what you say," she says then feeling the ground shaking and Father Van Heling, my brother shimmering into my room.
"What's going on? Please tell me Kate, is it Ian again?" he asks then becomes quiet as he knows about how we had to turn her back to her human self and erase her memories of her being a vampire princess.
"Father Van Moore is letting John know about the war and how he's destined to defeat Ghost and save the cosmos, but I need you to be a witness to his promise, now did you hear it Father Van Helsing?" she asks in a quiet tone to her voice. Father Van Helsing smiles and nods. Turning to me and looking into my eyes, he knows that we are all in this together and the war will begin, once again when John starts to remember his past, with his own family. The monster Ghost is just a toy and an outer shell for the real devil in human form to distract John from reality in times of war and bloodshed.
"I promise Kate, if my brother breaks his promise, I'll punish him severely, do you understand, brother?" he asks. I nod and he then vanishes out of our sight. Kate then walks to the door and turns for a second.
"Don't forget what Father Van Helsing said, if you break your promise, I'll make sure that what he does won't be as pretty as what I will do," Kate says then leaves and closes the door behind her. She's right, again and all I need to do now is call up Taylor, he's got some friends that are willing to help with controlling dolls and pretending to be the enemy when he grabs Ghosts servants and helps the hunters by giving them more experience in order to help fight the minor monsters as a daily hunt of saving humans from being killed. Getting back up and walking to the window, I look at Fate and Hope.
"Hope, keep an eye on Fate, I can sense his presence close by," I tell her in telepathy.
"Okay Dad," she answers.
"I see you're back from Romania, Father Arthur Van Moore," a voice calls out, turning around with my gun in my hand, I see Ghost like always possessing Vlad. Vlad, I wish that you were free from this bullshit, but I know John will help you with your problems with being a vampire and being alone after losing your one and only soul mate.
"How did you get into Vlad's body, Ghost?" I ask, demanding to know why he has to do this to us. Ghost laughs softly and says the most unspeakable and something that angered me most.
"I'm only here to tell you that there's someone you know that will be by my side when I win the war," he says.
"So Ghost, who's this special someone that might just rather jump off a cliff than be your Queen?" I ask him.
"That is your daughter, Fate, as she's my soulmate and future Queen of the cosmos, so you better not get in my way, Arthur," he says then vanishes from my sight. That son of a bitch, doesn't he know what he's getting into? Now I'm starting to feel sorry for the man. Well one day before John gets the powers to defeat our enemies, I hope Ghost understands the truth.
