Chapter 1 - Chapter One: A rough morning

As soon as I woke, I could just tell Milo was angry about something. It was too early in the morning to figure it out, though. Milo gripped me tightly, mumbling about how our school sucked ass, and we should just run away. He had obviously heard my weak chuckle, stopping as soon as I let it out. I turned around, facing him. Our lips met in a short, but possessive kiss. "Good morning, milk boy." I cringed at the raspiness of my voice, while Milo groaned at the stupid nickname. A small giggle left my lips, and I tried to escape from his grasp. He growled, pulling me closer.

"Mmmm Kai, lets just say home today." Milo inhaled my scent, which always sort of creeped me out. "Pretty Please." I shoved him away.

"Milo, I've got a test today." I slid off the bed, walking over to my closet. "What should I wear today?" Milo hummed getting up, and wrapping his arms around me. His bare abs pressed against the small of my back.

"Nothin." My face turned red and I shoved him away again.

"Milo!!" He giggled, and sat down. Eventually I pulled a sweater over my bare body, as well as some jeans. "You have clothes over here, right?" He nodded, and pointed at my dresser.

"Third drawer." I grabbed him a black T-shirt, and black jeans. Once he was dressed, we both walked out of my room, a female voice calling to us, telling us we were going to be late. Milo rolled his eyes. He slid his hand into mine, and dragged me through the kitchen. "It's alright, Ma! Im driving!!" Milo tugged harder, pulling me into the driveway, where three cars sat. It had always seemed that he hated Jane, My mother. Milo pulled me over to the beat up black Porsche. I slipped into the driver's seat, while he sat in the passenger seat.

Almost as soon as I started driving, Milo started talking. "And I just… I don't under….. He's so....God it's just inappropriate!!" I nodded my head along, agreeing to his morning bullshit. "I don't think you and Jack should be-" There it was. The reason he was upset.

"What??? I-I'm sorry what were you saying???" Milo groaned loudly.

"Jack. He keeps telling me we should break up. Doesn't think I'm fit for you."

"He's just looking out for me. Lifelong friends y'know? You and Jess are like that too."

"He's so obviously in love with you! As soon as I listen to him, he's going to snatch you away from me!! God, Kai! He calls you his 'Little Morsel'!! Don't think I don't know about that!" We pulled into a Starbucks drive through, Milo continuing to give reasons on why he sucks while we walked in.

"We aren't having this conversation now!! He's going to be here in five minutes, so I would like to get our drinks, and have a nice morning drink, with a calming car ride before we go off to hell!!" I snapped at him quietly, not wanting to alert other people. A few people did stare, but it wasn't the whole café.

Soon after we got our drinks, Jack arrived, wearing his usual black sweatshirt and jeans. As soon as he saw us, he grinned, walking over. "Kai! Good morning." Jack took the iced coffee I handed to him, brushing my hand to do so. He slipped his hood off, taking a sip of coffee and….

Was that blood?
