Adjusting the rearview mirror, Issac saw the boys sleeping on Raymond's shoulder, a smile coming on his face as he turned his attention back to the road.
"They are leaning on him, Issac. Isn't that so cute?" Araya asked, looking behind her at the three.
"I'm just glad they are getting along," Issac said, hands gripping the wheel lightly, a slight sadness in his eyes. "Raymond … that kid has been through quite a bit. Perhaps he does not know it, but he does hold some resentment for me."
Looking at Issac, Araya placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "He is your son and you turned out fine. I am sure he will too."
Issac shook his head, eyes still on the long winding road in front of him, "Even if I did turn out fine, it does not change that I went through those things. It is the same things for you."
Smiling softly, Araya pulled her hands from his shoulder and leaned back on the seat, hand over her stomach.
