As the three continued to walk down the deserted path, the sky growing darker and street lights turned on, illuminating their paths along with the lights from little stores tucked in the corners of the street.
Distant honking could be heard coming from cars in the distance along with the sound of people talking, laughing, some even singing.
"The city is so lively even at night." Clause remarked as they passed by a bakery, the smell of freshly baked loaves filling their nose.
Issac looked at the two as they started slowing down the moment they passed the bakery and he couldn't help chuckling to himself.
No matter how mature they think they are or how old they have gotten, they will remain as children in front of me, I suppose.
"Would you two like to have a snack that we can take home to the others?" Issac asked, stopping in front of the bakery. "I have been meaning to pay Loren a visit one of these days."
