"What do we do now, Issac?" Zadie asked, sitting on the roof next to the man, a forlorn expression coming on the faces of the two.
"What do you mean?" Issac asked, looking at the woman closely. "We will just have to make sure they do not get a hold of Clause or any of the kids two weeks from now."
"Do you think we can?"
"Zadie, you make it sound like we have a choice." Issac looked at the destroyed village in front of him, brows furrowed. "You remember what Grant told us about last night, right?"
"I do." She said, pulling her knees closer to her chest. "So that man was not as bad as we thought he was. I don't know what I am supposed to be feeling now."
"Your feelings of dislike are valid," Issac said, patting the woman on her back. "He may not have been that villain we thought of him as but that did not mean that he did not do things to that that greatly affect us, mentally and physically.
