The raging and falling of the wild waves shoved the two over a frozen shore. Nesrin was shivering and trembling as she desperately gasped for air, fearful that the storm would plunge her in once again, she was still afraid of the waves, the horror she saw inside.
Izekiel was the first to regain himself and he offered his hand to help her up, "We can't stay here for long."
Anna closed her eyes and tried to steady her breaths.
"Thank you."
The wet clothes clung to her skin as the cold seeped into her soul. She was too weak to say anything as she and Izekiel walked over the drenched snowy path.
Even though Noah had healed the damage to her core, she was yet to regain her strength. There was barely any mana left to heal her exhausting core and weakening self.
Nesrin felt useless as she could do nothing but lean into Izekiel. His hand on her shoulders was firm, it made her feel safe and she wanted to have him feel that too.
