"Can you repeat that?"
Saint Aaron paused and glanced at Cassandra with raised eyebrows. The sun light from behind casted shadows on his face, though he was surprised, his eyes remained calm.
Cassandra was kneeling on the floor, a few feet away from him and didn't dared to lift her eyes as she continued.
"I want to petition for a change of the laws regarding the element of darkness,"
Aaron was quiet for a while, and then he let out a sigh as he sat above his throne. There was a small smile playing on his lips.
"That is an ancient law, your grace. It would not be wise to meddle with what our ancestors said,"
Cassandra glanced at him with hesitation, her eyes were red and slightly swollen as if she had been crying before.
Aaron's smile faded.
"What happened?"
Cassandra seemed like she wanted to say many things, but at the same time there was a hesitation and lingering fear in her eyes.
