The land of Esmeria was covered in a blanket of white. At night, this white snow carried an eerie air of silence as Nesrin watched the falling snow with her blank eyes.

She had rested her head on the windowsill, and since the moment the war had started, it was the first time she had no thoughts in her mind, or more like, she couldn't form any rational thoughts at all.

"Forget it,"

Malcolm said two cold words as soon as she met him. It was hard to understand what he usually thought, but at that time, it was even harder.

There was a deep cut that ran across his forehead.

Nesrin pressed her lips together and commanded him.

"Have a seat,"

She went to look for a medical box, it was troubling how careless he was with his injuries. 

Nesrin had not taken a single step when his words made her blood run cold.

"Merah is no more,"

She froze, as the weight of his words sank in her heart, fresh dread reared up her throat.
