Chapter 155 - The Silent Whispers

The vast endless sea furled and unfurled with a melancholic sigh. It was the time of early morning, when the sky was supposed to be indigo and the birds still asleep.

However, the sky was as gray as ever, embraced by the clouds of storm that never raged and yet dreadfully clung to the heavens.

Nesrin pulled her cloak closer and softly closed the door shut. Lately, the air had been turning more cold and chilly.

She passed through the mostly empty houses, the abandoned streets and the walls which still carried some of the blood stains. Strangely, they no longer made her heart race and fingers go numb.

At the very end of Merah, there was the temple of the town. It was the place no one had entered ever since stepping inside Merah. 

Temples were considered sacred and mystic, the locals believed that too much bloodshed and tragedy at one place summons the god of death and being anywhere near him would cause misfortune.
