Amanda smiled glancing at Dave then said, "Don't joke like that. It's not funny and I won't be fooled by your jokes."
"Amanda, I'm serious," Dave said then pulled the car over. He turned his head to look at Amanda intensely, then took her left hand.
Amanda paused and swallowed her saliva while glancing nervously at Dave. Her heart was wondering about what the man of her dreams would do. Will there be a declaration of love or just a mere gibberish or just want to know her feelings without reciprocating? She was restless.
"Amanda," Dave called.
"Yes," Amanda whispered, trying to pull her hand out of Dave's grip but was immediately restrained.
"I love you," said Dave without further ado.
"Huh...." Amanda was surprised and didn't know what to do. She looked down unable to look at Dave, even became embarrassed by fixing her hair which was not messy.
"Amanda, I love you. Do you love me too?" asked Dave with a look so intense.
