At the hospital, Adriana just sat quietly leaning on the head of the bed while looking at her legs which hurt so much that even she only moved a little she felt like crying. Sometimes she glanced at her smartphone, waiting for a message from Zach, who was disappointed with her decision.
"Adriana," called Emma who had been waiting for Adriana on the sofa while the others had gone home. "Could it be that you want to cancel your marriage with Zach?" she asked.
"Marriage, for now, is pointless, Mom. I'll just trouble him. Now, look at my leg. I don't even know when I'll walk again... I'm even having a hard time just wearing my pants." Adriana cried again, lamenting her very poor fate even though she had only felt happiness for a while. "I didn't know that just wanting to marry the man I love, it had to be like this. I'm tired... I want to be quiet for a while without thinking about the things that get me in trouble."
