In the afternoon Adriana had come home from the shop. As usual, she was greeted by Evan when she arrived at the courtyard. The young mother immediately picked up her son and kissed him as usual.
"Hmmm ... Mommy's son always smells good."
"Mom, Uncle Zach was coming," Evan said as he looked at his mother who was holding him.
"Uncle Zach?"
"He brought me a new toy and a gift for mommy," Evan explained.
Adriana was silent as she continued to walk towards the inside of the house but in her heart, she wondered. 'It's unusual for him to come without seeing me and without telling me. What exactly did he give? And why did he give it when I wasn't on my birthday?"
When she arrived at the terrace, Adriana met Amanda who looked like she was about to leave. She asked, "Where are you going?"
