Chapter 12 - More Annoyed

Sunlight was shining through the openings in Mark's window air vents. The man was still sleeping.

Adriana entered the room and let out a rough breath when she saw Mark was still asleep. She walked towards the window then opened the lacy white curtains attached to the window. The sun's rays grew sharper and dazzled Mark's eyes as he stretched.

Mark woke up and looked at Adriana who was opening several other window blinds, then prepared work clothes for him. His wife already looks fresh wearing a blue knee-length skirt combined with a white top and pinning some of her hair back, she is very beautiful and motherly.

"Adriana," called Mark

"hem," said Adriana as she put Mark's work clothes into the edge of the bed. Even though she still felt annoyed at her husband, she still served him well. Prepare warm water for bathing and also make breakfast. coincidentally at that time, Evan was not awake, it allowed her to do her activities freely.

"I will not go home, because I will be out of town for three days," said Mark as he got out of bed.

"Why are you just telling me now? I haven't even prepared all the things you need." Adriana snorted annoyed at Mark who since last night made her angrier.

'No wonder last night was good and care, it turns out he's going to go,' she thought.

"I wanted to say it last night, but you were asleep and angry with me," Mark said without guilt, then walked to the bathroom.

Adriana sighed, then took the suitcase and prepared clothes for Mark. She was still pissed off and kept wondering why that man was making her even more uncomfortable and angry. The woman thought of asking for a divorce.

after finishing preparing, the two of them had breakfast with other family members, while Evan was still sleeping. The child sometimes wakes up a little later when he is tired of playing.

After finishing breakfast, Mark immediately said goodbye to Adriana, "I'll go first."

"Yes, be careful," said Adriana with a flat look.

After Mark left, Adriana walked towards Evan's room. In the room, she saw the boy was still fast asleep hugging a bolster. The young mother immediately opened the bedroom window, letting the sunshine in just like that.

Adriana approached Evan and kissed him on the cheek. She could feel her son's cheeks were warmer than usual, even hot.

"He has a fever," muttered Adriana as she touched Evan's forehead with her palm.

Adriana began to worry, then immediately came out of the room to the kitchen to get warm water to compress her son.

"What for?" Margareth asked when she saw Adriana carrying a container of water to Evan's room.

"To compress Evan, he has a fever, Mom," said Adriana.

"That's a result of taking him too long to play if fatigue will hurt and it will be troublesome," said Margareth and then left Adriana just like that.

Adriana just shook her head in response to her mother-in-law who did not feel sympathy at all when she heard the news that her grandson was sick, she chose to immediately go to the room.

Adriana approached Evan who was still asleep. She took a small cloth from the cupboard, then dipped the cloth into a container already filled with warm water, then wrung it out.

'Hopefully, it's just a common fever,' thought Adriana as she pressed the cloth to her son's forehead.

"What's this? I don't want to use this ...!" Evan wakes up and whines because he doesn't like the compress on his forehead.

"But you have to wear this, let your fever go down," Adriana persuaded patiently.

Evan nodded too but his lips pouted. It seems that the boy was forced to recover quickly.

"Where is daddy?" he asked, looking at his mother with wistful eyes.

"Daddy works, dear," said Adriana patiently. She remembered, Mark hadn't seen Evan at all, so he didn't know that his son had a fever.

"Want to come with daddy ...." Evan whimpered again.

"Daddy has been leaving since earlier. You are also sick, later when you recover, we will follow daddy, OK? "Adriana seduced the toddler so that she no longer nagged.

Evan just nodded in response and fell silent again while rubbing his red and hot eyes, maybe it was the effect of his fever that was quite high.

Adriana got out of bed and walked to the wardrobe. she took down the hot medicine that she always provided. The young mother poured the syrup down a spoon and thrust it into her son's tiny mouth.

"Take medicine first, then you get better quickly, when you get better, we'll follow up daddy," said Adriana.

Evan nodded and immediately devoured the medicine because he knew the medicine his mother used to give him had a sweet taste.

"Smart kid," said Adriana as she gently rubbed Evan's cheek. she immediately asked the household assistant to make her son's breakfast, because if she cooked herself, the boy would have cried looking for her.

Maura stared at her reflection in the mirror. She is sitting on a chair at the dressing table, in her apartment. The girl looks sexy wearing a knee-length mini dress combined with a top with open shoulders and polishing her face with slightly thick make-up.

feeling that she was already beautiful, Maura immediately got up from the chair then walked to the bed and took her smartphone, she tried to contact someone.

"Hello, honey. What time are you coming?" asked Maura to someone on the phone.

"Sorry, maybe I'll be there at three in the afternoon," replied a man from the phone.

"Gosh, three o'clock?"

"Yes, I have to attend some important meetings first, I will come to see you. Love you ...!"

The telephone line was cut off. Maura threw her smartphone on the bed and chuckled irritably, "If I had known that he would come at three o'clock, I wouldn't have been ready this early."

Maura decided to go to the kitchen. She took red wine and snacks from the refrigerator, then brought them to the room and sat on the sofa.

"Better to relax while waiting for him to come," muttered Maura then turned on the tv with the remote control. She casually watched TV while eating snacks and occasionally drinking red wine. But, who is she waiting for, is that Mark?
