"Your Majesty, there has been word that your bride is being transferred," Anthony informed me, dressed in his best. He was wearing a black suit with a green tie and white handkerchief, just like the three other groomsmen.
When I told Anthony that I wanted him to be my best man, he wasn't surprised and accepted the position with pride. All these years, Anthony has been by my side acting as major support and was also a good friend that I could rely on during the times that Rebecca wasn't around, and he seemed to think well of me, enough to be my best man.
"Then we can start making our way as well." I turned from the window, only to have Anthony step forward to straighten my bowtie, the white handkerchief in its pocket, the overcoat, and make sure that the white button-up shirt was perfectly tucked into the waistline. "I haven't done much," I whined, as he made sure everything was perfect, stepping back.
