Closing my eyes, I immediately replayed what happened the night before -
"Your Highness?" I asked as I stepped into the room, nodding to his assistant that I could take care of him. Allowing the man to rest for a bit and he quickly stepped out without any hesitation. "You called for me?"
"I did." He confirmed, before holding out his hand, motioning to the stool beside his bed. Moving my feet, I took a seat on the stool, meeting his eyes to see some light in them. There was a pause between us until he opened his palm again where Maria's orb was sitting there. "I have a final job for you, child. At my funeral, you will read this paper aloud, to every person that is sitting there." He pulled out a letter, gently pressing it into my palm, taking in my bewildered expression.
"What is it?" I asked, and he managed a small smile before Maria flickered in his palm.
