It was about two hours, around lunch time by the time I decided to take a break from all of the documents that were waiting for my attention. Glancing out the window, I looked at the castle grounds with a perfect view of the dragon statue and one of my favorite gardens to walk through.
Today looked peaceful, with the clear blue sky and bright yellow sun in the sky. Glancing at the documents on my desk, I let out a tired sigh reaching upward listening to my bones pop after sitting for a long time.
"It's strange being back after some time." I muttered, while pushing out of my seat, walking off my sore muscles. Standing by my desk when a knock echoed in the whole room.
"Duchess Rebecca, His Majesty has come to visit." His assistant announced before pushing open the door to see me standing my desk with a surprised expression but I replaced it with a small smile before tipping my head to the King.
