Today was the day that I was going to depart. The day that I get to escape these castle walls to a place up in the calm mountains where I could finally get answers to my questions.
This morning Lily woke me up with an excited attitude, talking about how there was a carrier waiting for me at the castle gates, and how most of the people both in the castle and outside were waiting to see who would have the privilege to use it, after all when a carrier showed up it meant that they would get to meet the late emperor.
"Haewon! You can't be sleeping in, you have to get dressed in beautiful clothes that His Majesty sent you, and get on the carrier." She shook me awake, taking the blanket from my hands, as I was trying to roll back over to get more sleep.
