*** (Later that evening) (Eleanors POV)
"Duchess, Lady Rebecca will be dining in the hall. She wanted me to confirm with you, as she is aware of her behavior these past couple of days, and she wants to have a peaceful dinner." The maid tipped her head, holding out a letter from my daughter, jumping slightly as I slammed the accounting book on the desk.
"She has requested a calm dinner?" I asked aloud, and the young maid nodded her head again still looking at the floor not daring to look into my eyes as I knew a storm was brewing inside. "Give me the letter, and then tell my daughter that her concerns are understood." I held out my hand taking the crisp letter, looking at the red wax seal.
