In that sentence there were so many hidden meanings, he was saying that he will be fine, that I would love another man, yet the way his arms held me close to his chest said another thing. Like he was savoring that last moment with me before we split for a couple of years.
"Then why did you kiss me?" I asked, leaning back, to watch his teal eyes flash with an emotion that had a hint of guilt. He let out a small sigh, before pulling me closer to his chest, determining how to answer that question.
