"I saw it," I whispered into her ear, clutching her tighter. Somehow she brought comfort to me even if she stood stiff like a board. Listening to her steady heartbeat steadily quicken, I scrunched my brows together as I realized she was slightly panicking.
"Saw what?" she quietly asked, looking at something in the distance. Lieutenant Jones left a couple of minutes ago sensing that this was going to be a serious topic.
"Mother's death," I replied and her heart quickened before she wrapped her arms around me. I let out a sigh, one that let out some of my pain and anger, but it wasn't enough, not after seeing all of my mother's pain. "From Mother's kidnapping to her death, I saw it all." I announced and she went silent, thinking of something.
