"I'm nervous," I whispered as we pulled into the roundabout in the front entrance with the whole group standing out. The King, Prince Elias, and their assistants, and surprisingly the generals. Father parked the car, lacing worriedly out the window before meeting my eyes.
"It's going to be fine." He chuckled halfheartedly, and it made my anxiety peak, as my hands were shaking horribly, and I was bouncing my leg rapidly, causing both of them to share a look. I was a nervous wreck.
"Rebecca, I'm sure it's nothing but added protection for the King." Mother spoke as she turned in her seat to meet my eyes, and I knew she was trying to comfort me, but common sense said that was not the reason. "Come, we can't keep them waiting." She patted my leg, and I looked out the window, finally meeting Elias' ocean eyes.
