Just as we had predicted, the health of our late king took a huge decline. The day after the party, that warm smile and the massive amount of energy had vanished as he woke up the next day. He had deep eyebags, his whole body seemed fragile, any time he needed assistance there were a couple of people by his side during the times when we weren't.
What we did not expect is how quickly his health deteriorated, and a week after the ball he was lying on his death bed holding the hands of his two children. Elias was holding his right hand, squeezing it as tears fell down his cheek, staining the gray sheets. Angel was holding his left in her delicate pale hands, looking at her father with red eyes, even though there weren't any tears falling.
