Seeing to men leave the room, I let out a small sigh, glad that it was only just Angel and me.
"'A future between you and uncle Elias.'?" I repeated the boy's response and she looked away guilty. "What future?" I asked.
"Are you and my brother not together?" She asked with disbelief in her voice, and I closed my eyes.
"I don't know," I admitted, letting out a tired sigh.
"You don't know!?" She exclaimed and I nodded my head, aware of her reaction, it was just the same as me. I didn't know how to feel, or how to explain.
"We were hesitant, and couldn't do the long-distance." I started and she looked into my eyes, before staring once again out into the garden. "I... promised that I wouldn't fall in love while I was away. I couldn't when he has my heart. But he told me not to wait for him, trying to push me away." I continued and she took in a deep breath.
"Stupid brother of mine." She muttered under her breath, and I choked.
