The survivors were stunned, but William merely glanced to the side. His narrowed eyes could see a passageway that was partially filled with water. There were several Xermo standing there, looking at the water with uneasy expression.
They were afraid of water.
"Don't worry, they won't come any closer."
Koan was looking at the people with a mocking expression, but he didn't dare to say anything because his superior was right by his side. If he dared to mock the people, the soldiers would discipline him and the punishment they gave was not exactly light. He didn't want to provoke unnecessary trouble.
As his eyes moved to William, he was stunned to see that both William and Gloria were extremely calm. It was as if they already knew that the Xermo were afraid of water so they were not afraid in the slightest bit.
'They didn't close down the passageway completely.'
