After spending almost two hours roaming around the city, they began resuming their travel to Country C, which only takes a 3-hour drive.
Instead of Henry, Jackson will be their driver, and Anya will be his driving attendant.
Bret immediately dozed off as soon as they got into the car. Henry and Kitty were minding their own business on their phone. While Anya will casually talk to Jackson so, he wouldn't feel bored.
"Um, Jackson, can you find any gas stations? I think I need to go to the toilet," Kitty asked, as she was holding on to her stomach. Her stomach has been rumbling uncomfortably ever since they were in the hotel.
"You can't hold it anymore?" Anya asked as she looked over at Kitty's pale face.
"I am afraid I couldn't hold it anymore," she grumbles as she sat up, wincing in pain at the aches and pains in her body. Henry watched them for a few moments, then looked at Anya cluelessly.
Anya turned to her side, facing Jackson. She said, "there would be one gas station in a few kilometres more." Jackson nodded and hit the gas.
She worried about Kitty, but there was nothing she couldn't help. "Can you feel if you can hold it until we arrive? I assumed that we'll get to the gas station in less than 10 minutes," she said, her questioning look lingering on Kitty's stomach.
"I guess,"
Anya rummaging through her beg, looking for an ointment that she always had with her. Founded in the side of her bag, she then quickly hands it to her: "Here, rub it on your stomach and your tailbone area."
Kitty did as Anya instructed. The cooling sensation from the ointment calmed her painful stomach a little, but she still needs to go to the toilet.
"Feels better?"
Normally, Kitty will be in this kind of state if she's in her menstrual week. She would have diarrhoea, cramped stomach and puking at some time, but she didn't puke that regularly.
She weakly responded with a nod and her eyes close as she leaned her head on Bret's shoulder.
Henry looked at Anya with a questioning expression.
"She's having his monthly cycle," she whispered.
"Seriously? That bad?" Anya was stunned to see he looked frightened. Perhaps it's the first time he saw someone having their monthly period.
"It could be even worse than that sometimes"
"I can't imagine how painful that is to you guys"
"That's why you should appreciate females because you couldn't imagine how painful we had to go through every month," she exclaimed.
Henry shuddered at the idea of him having that painful monthly cycle. To have one of your organs shed every month is just terrifying.
"If you locate an abandoned, wrecked house at the side of the road, you should find a gas station next to it"
"Is it still far?"
"No, we'll find it soon"
There weren't many cars on the highway, so Jackson can speed up the car even faster. Anya already informed Danny and the others that they will take a break at a gas station.
Noticing the road sign that showed the direction of the gas station, Jackson served the car to the left lane of the road to enter another road lane.
"Drive straight to the junction," she instructed, as she was pointing at the direction he should drive through, "and it should be there as soon as we enter the road."
As she has said, there was a broken house and the gas stations at the side of the junction. Jackson pulled over to the station and Kitty instantly leapt from the car, running inside the bathroom, holding her stomach.
Danny and Immanuel also took a toilet break as Anya and the others bought some snacks while Jackson, Maxwell and Chad filled their cars with gas. Anya also managed to buy some hot packs for Kitty to relieve her stomach muscle.
Tilting at the opened window, Jackson looked at Kitty, who has three layers of blankets wrapped around her stomach. "Do you feel much better now? "
She glances up, meeting his black eyes. "I think so, "she said, shrugging her shoulder.
" Rest well, Kitty"
" Hahaha, thanks Jackie"
He climbed back into the car after making sure everyone already got into their car and drove away.
While on the drive, Anya opened a packet of food that she bought and offered it to Jackson, who was driving. Jackson glanced at her hand that was still in the air, holding a slice of strawberry, and opened his mouth.
She gasped, momentarily confused by his acts that appeared before her, but she still fed it into his mouth. He mumbled thanks as he chewed it. Then Anya puts another slice of fruit into his mouth, which he gladly accepts.
" Ew, can you both stop flaunting your PDA in front of us?"
Both Kitty and Bret scowled in disgust at the over-affectionate acts between Anya and Jackson. Making them want to throw up. Just date already!
"Two of you are too much"
Anya shook her head, blushing slightly in embarrassment as Kitty and Bret looked at them while teasing her.
" Do you want me to feed you guys too?"
"Ugh no!"
"Eww, f*ck off! Just feed your baby, Jackson, okay!"
Anya laughed as Jackson chuckled at her teasing her mischievous friends. Henry takes one of the fruits containers that Anya bought and gives it to them. Until then, they shut their complaints.
Despite the teasing, Anya still feeds Jackson with the fruits. "You eat it too," he told her with his eyes never leaving the road. She nodded as she plopped a slice of the fruit into her mouth.
It was never been a boring trip as Bret and Kitty along with Henry always teased each other. Kind of unexpected for Henry because at the college, people always called him nerdy and always put on a serious face but when he was with them, he's the more talkative type and easy-going.
Bret and Kitty were having their concert in the car blasting their voices which they thought was part of a singing skill but they're ripping people ear off with all of the yelling instead of singing. "Okay, Bret and Kitty, both of you sound very lovely but can you slow it down? I can see it from here that Henry feel like he's ready to jump out of the car" Anya said after she looked at the helpless face on Henry's face as he had to bear with them.
"Don't mind them. You should have a nap, you've been yawning none stop. Lower your seat and close your eyes" he said as he glances briefly at her. She has been yawned but she forced herself to stay awake to accompanied him.
"It's okay. You don't have to worry about me. I won't feel bored if that was the one that makes you worried about. I still have them to entertain me"
"But,"
"Just go to sleep Anya. I'll wake you up soon after we arrived, okay?"
Anya nodded and relaxed before closing her eyes. Soon after, she finally dozed off. With his other free hand, he pulled the blanket up covering her shoulder. Kitty, of course, didn't miss looking at Jackson action. At least Anya has found someone that genuinely like her, she thought.
