Episode thirteen continues where episode twelve left off.
-----
The camera trails Candy as she frantically runs through the streets of Hope City.
A strange fog permeates throughout the area, greatly reducing visibility.Candy frequently looks back as she runs.Suddenly, she screams as she bombards a strange shape in front of her with energy blasts.
The shape catches on fire, revealing it to be a misshapen tree.
As she cautiously approaches the tree, Candy slaps her face and says to herself, "get a grip. There's nothing to be afraid of..."
The hairs on the back of her neck prickle as a voice whispers into her left ear, "... I disagree."
"Ah!!!" Candy screams as she quickly spins to her left, firing multiple energy blasts in that direction.
After a few moments, Candy calms herself down, "Calm down. Whatever it is you got it".
"You missed," a voice whispers into her left ear.
-----
The camera pans to Tiff-for-Tat leaping off a building.
Tiff-for-Tat apparently thought that it would be a good idea to leap off a building and ambush Solar Flare.
"Troll La La!" the girl in the gorilla suit screams as she uses her super strength to launch her body toward Solar Flare's back.
Solar Flare takes a quick glance back at Tiff-for-Tat, flies forward and up ten feet, and then completely ignores her, choosing instead to hurl an energy blast at the air elemental Magenta Blue summoned.
As Tiff-for-Tat passes underneath Solar Flare, she stretches, attempting to grab his ankle, foot, cape, anything.
Unfortunately, the gap was insurmountable.
"Daaaa Faaaaq!" Tiff-for-Tat screams as she completely misses Solar Flare and plummets to her doom.
-----
The camera pans to the Trainees inside the guardsmen's compound.
"Why are they detaining us?" Asks Buckman as he ducks behind a wall.
"This is too hard. Why don't we just surrender?" Leo whines as he dodges a stream of bullets.
"Are you kidding?" Replies Ms. Good, "That's an automatic loss. We'll be shipped off to Psi-Solar, or whatever passes for Psi-Solar here."
"Hey looks! They're retreating", Buckman points out the guardsmen who are hurriedly rushing away.
The Trainees slump together as they take a breather.
Suddenly, the area they're in gets bombarded with RPGs.
"Fuuuuuck!" Ms. Good curses.
-----
The camera pans to the Rejects.
"Fools. You cannot defeat me," says a robotic looking humanoid made out of black metal- the robotic Dr. Para.
"Why aren't any of the EMPs working?" Asks Tony T.
"I don't know. I'm trying to figure it out," replies Tyrone as he ducks behind a ruined wall to avoid one of Dr. Para's electrical blasts.
"Well figure it out faster.", Diego pops out of cover to fire one of his energy blasts at Dr. Para.
"Insects," Dr. Para proclaims as he effortlessly picks up the corpse of Red Rover and flings it at Diego.
"Whoa," Diego exclaims as he barely dodges.
Unfortunately for Diego, Dr. Para rushed up behind the flung corpse.
Shrugging off the energy blasts fired by Tony T, Tyrone, and the rest of the surviving Rejects, Dr. Para seizes Diego by the throat.
"Insects," Dr. Para once again intones.
"Fuck. He's too strong," curses Tyrone.
"Hey. We just have to get the omega alignment right?" Asks Tony T.
"Ya?" Responds Tyrone.
"Well. Why don't you get it while we hold him off?" Tony T suggests.
Tyrone pauses for a second before slowly saying "Ok."
Tyrone runs off as Dr. Para pops off Diego's head like an overripe tomato.
"Well fuck," says Tony T.
-----
The camera pans to the Inscrutables.
"Fuck. Just how many robots are there?" Robolox curses as he rips off the "gun-head" of one of the robotic pods. A pile of mangled robotic corpses surround him.
"Bet you wish you kept Tiff around," Delilah mutters as she shoots an energy blast at one of the swarming robots.
"She was dead set on ambusing Solar Flare." Robolox frowns as he dodges multiple electrical bolts. "Sometimes, it's better to just cut your losses."
"Oh crap," says Infinite Blades.
"What?" Robolox asks.
"Behind us!"
Taking a quick glance behind, Robolox's mood darkens considerably. Another horde of robotic pods have appeared.
"Fuck!" He curses.
-----
The camera pans to Jackalyn.
Missing an arm and hobbling on her left leg, she drags herself toward the epicenter of the fight.
"...I just have to tell the heroes where the Paras are. I just have to tell the heroes where the Paras are," she repeatedly mutters to herself.
A dark shadow appears overhead.
"Fuck!" Jackalyn curses as a random skyscraper lands on top of her.
-----
The camera pans to Candy trembling.
She had her back against a wall as a dark entity crept closer.
"Wha-what do you want from me!?" Candy screams, as she fires an energy blast at it.
The energy blast passed right through the entity and shattered a section of the wall.
"No way..." Candy said slowly. "That did not... just happen..."
Candy clenches her fist angrily. "NO WAY!"
The dark entity brings its face close to hers; so close that she can see its blood red eyes and elongated fangs.
"Yes way," the dark entity hisses as it sinks it's fangs into Candy's soft supple body.
"Fuck!" Candy silently curses as she blacks out.
-----
The camera pans to the Inscrutables.
The Inscrutables grimly prepare for their last stand when suddenly there is a flash of light.
The endless horde of robots suddenly ceases their motions and falls to the ground.
"What..." Delilah slowly asks. "What... just happened..."
From where the robots were coming from, they see Tyrone running toward them.
"What's Updog", memes Infinite Blades.
"Run!" Tyrone screams as he rushes past the Inscrutables.
The Inscrutables blink as they watch Tyrone disappear in the distance.
Looking at where Tyrone came from, the Inscrutables guard themselves, getting ready for whatever may come.
A few minutes of nervous bantering passes as the Inscrutables wait, keeping their guard up.
After seeing no enemies appearing, Robolox begins poking at the motionless robots.Infinite Blades collapses on the ground and takes out an energy bar.
"Hey!" asks Delilah. "Is it safe to eat that?"
"Sure. Why not?" Infinite Blades replies as he munches on the bar. "It's food."
Delilah blinks. "But, it's not real?"
"Real enough," Infinite Blades makes an "mmm" sound as he snacks on the bar.
-----
The camera follows Tyrone as he navigates Hope City.
Tyrone has obviously memorized the battle map created during the Rejects' preparation phase. The shortest distance between two points is a straight line, but Tyrone weaves around the city, avoiding many enemies and hazards along the way.
If there is no way to get past a zone without fighting, Tyrone prioritizes entering areas that are controlled by the minions of the robotic Dr. Para, his EMP grenades make short work of them.
-----
The camera quickly pans back to the Inscrutables.
A robotic looking humanoid made out of black metal, the robotic Dr. Para, has appeared.
"Wow. A Dr. Para," gushes Infinite Blades. There'll be beaucoup points."
The Inscrutables bombard Dr. Para with energy blasts.
Dr. Para easily avoids energy beams as he quickly makes his way past the Inscrutables. It's obvious that he has no intention to fight.
As Dr. Para dodges a particularly frantic barrage of blasts, Robolox jumps up and rams into him, knocking him onto the ground.
"Insects." Dr. Para screams as he flings Robolox away.
And thus the battle was joined.
Unfortunately for the Inscrutables, they barely qualify as a speed bump for Dr. Para.
-----
The camera pans to Tyrone as he finally enters the S.H.O.C.K compound.
The camera quickly pans to the epicenter of the fight.
There, the viewers see Solar Flare hovering high above Hope City, gazing downward as if he were a god. All around him are the ruins and rubble of former neighborhoods. A large lake of lava, created when one of his more powerful solar blasts made contact with the ground, glows softly in the distance.
Psi-Axe looks exhausted as he leans on his poleaxe for support.
Golden Star's costume has numerous rips and tears, but he braces in a combat stance; ready to launch another assault on Solar Flare.
Magenta Blue is some distance behind Golden Star, waving his hands in complex arcane rituals.
Solar Flare suddenly hesitates.
Glancing at the city below, he quickly flies off.
The simulation ends.

After all of the points were tallied, Tyrone placed third overall. When Alex first drafted Tyrone, he promised Tyrone that he would make the top five in the show, and he has delivered on that promise. In the final episode, Tyrone credits his ranking to Alex.
Alex, however, just smiled and said, "your success is due to your own efforts; all I did was help you tap into your true potential."
-----
After the last episode aired, some contestants, like Tyrone, directly obtained superpowers.
Other contestants, such as the other members of the Rejects, became "latents."
A latent is a person who is very close to awakening superpowers. As long as their fandom and heroic popularity can be maintained, or even improved, they will naturally awaken superpowers within a year.
However, not all contestants who became latent would pursue a superhero career. For instance, Candy was so traumatized by the final Challenge that she made the decision to live out the rest of her life as an ordinary civilian. Consequently, her heroic popularity and fandom would naturally decline.
Still, at least Candy had a choice. The vast majority of contestants on the show were forced to give up their dreams of becoming a superhero.
Unbeknownst to most, however, Alex's plan was a success; he overcame his prior negative reputation to become a latent superbeing.
