Prologue

Eons before a water specialist astounded the Covetor world,

Eons before the ancient ones troded on the vastness of Kaiden,

and eons before the gods were born,

there was once a dark null vessel in the midst of the Celestial Sky.

It was the only dark and hemispherical body amongst the bright celestial spheres which were the primordial mana vessels that lit up ceiling with intensified aurae.

It was not even a sun, a moon, or a star.

Only the ManaVerse knows and if it could speak, the ManaVerse will declare the black matter's origins: the unexplored regions of light.

Yes, not all of the cosmic dimensions were filled with generous radiance.

Far from the light are the pitch-black zones known as Voids.

The epitomes of stillness, silence, and nothingness.

The darkest parts of the cosmos remained constant and peaceful throughout time until a great disturbance struck one of those regions.

It was an unexplainable occurrence that not even the ManaVerse itself can control or comprehend.

No one was even aware of the silent attack that plunged deep into the darkness in secret.

No light shone upon the ripples that tormented the very area as if it was made of water.

With such force, it cracked the dark space and left an unseen hole.

From there came loose a hemispherical fragment which drifted away across the black zones like an invisible ship blending into the night.

Throughout it's travels, the shard became fluidic that waves manifested over it's whole being.

It's dark watery body finally stopped in the most irradiated center of the ManaVerse and evidently stood out as the dimmest vessel ever existed.

Not a shimmer of light gleamed on the surface of the fragment as it was a voidal receptacle.

Surrounding the null matter were numerous stars boast of their power, reigning in the Celestial Sky with aurae.

Yet like all ephemeral things in life, their arrogance did not last forever.

A Mana Star that cannot prolong its sublime magical energy will inevitably lose its immortality and will be banished from the heavenly abode.

It will either explode or fall out of the Celestial Sky.

As the unworthy mana vessels plunged into the unknown depths, some were lucky enough to land on the black ocean planet.

The Fallen Stars sunk and dissipated into its waters.

So then, the genesis of life forms begun and filled the empty world with color.

Banished celestials with the largest amount of magical energy formed the continents, islands, and coral reefs.

Others resulted into the emergence of different creatures, different ethnicities, and different plant kingdoms.

These inhabitants became the living mana vessels that thrive in the world they named Kaiden.

But peace and coexistence cannot permeate within the lives of the mana species permanently.

As descendants of the Fallen Stars, each one's desire to outshine the others' unique aurae is utterly unquestionable.

Their glowing aurae are the manifestations of their innate magic potential known as the Specialism.

It is a gift that brought wonders to all those who can perform this magic.

Some can inherently create lightning bolts.

Others can manipulate whirlwinds.

The wrathful can burn down kingdoms.

And who would have thought that shadows can even kill?

However, magic also has its limits.

These living vessels were each created with mana plates of different sizes which are undetectable to others but perceived only by the owners.

As many were dissatisfied with the plates each possessed, the pride and arrogance of the Fallen Stars that manifested in their nature ignited their greed and conditioned them to slaughter the weak and absorb their remaining mana to widen their plates' capacities.

Overtime, Kaiden became a predatory planet and a battleground for fighting mana species.

They call the victors Covetors and the defeated as the Fodders whose magical life forces were incontestably leeched off by the [Mana] Covetors.

In this predation cycle, it did not matter whether the predators overpowered their preys or if the preys successfully wreaked bad karma over their hunters.

Natural selection dictates the ultimate rule, "Only the strong survive".

Kaiden is a challenger world for the strong Specialist Fighters with steeled instincts as Covetors.

As nations of Covetors grew from humans to elves to dwarves to basilisks to dionaeans to other thriving species, they proclaimed the stars above as deities and their great ancestors.

Rare are the stars in the night sky of Kaiden that it would take months or years to chart the celestials' anticipated appearances.

When these do emerge from the darkness, the Covetors reminded themselves that there will come a time that they, the spawns of the Fallen Stars, will rise up and claim their rightful place in the Celestial Sky.

Reaching the majestic ceiling remains an unreachable domain and an impossible dream but this obstacle never stood in the way of a true Covetor's insistence to transcend.

As many honed their skills, the whole world was enlivened with competition.

With the glorious aurae of the strong dominating the atmosphere of the fighter planet, Kaiden is destined to become the brightest celestial in the whole ManaVerse.
