To Ilona's surprise, Anja decided none of her wounds were so bad that they needed stitches. She washed and wrapped the ones that needed it. She was only just finishing the one on Ilona's thigh when a noise came from the mouth of the cave.
"I-I'm sorry," Mason apologized quickly as he pulled himself inside. "I'll keep my back to you both if you'd like, but I... I'd just really rather be in here."
Anja rolled her eyes but smiled fondly at the man. "You're fine, Mace. We've just finished."
"Oh, good," he breathed, his whole body visibly relaxing.
Ilona looked up at the handsome face of the man before her and felt her heart ache with love for him. She was glad he had come back so soon because being away from him had been starting to make her anxious.
